I agree. You could have found or stolen the watch. A common scam is to buy a product at Target, leave the place. Return, take the same product off the shelf and take it and the receipt to the RETURNS desk and get your money "back".
If the OP was in college, he could have sent the shoes back to the store at home (same cost to ship) and had the store do it. I can almost guarantee the store would have had better luck.
I have been running for 15 years now and gurantee my times are alot more impressive then yours and you know how many shoes I have sent back in my career? A big fat 0.
holla...sweet, your fast...are you a co-worker with "dude one" at target? because he makes more than anyone.
I think most people have had their brain clouded with the idea that 110 dollar shoes are the norm and will only last for so long....the value of the almight dollar has become void in many people's eyes...but a select few, like this guy and the watch guy understand...they expect value when they drop a large one...and I for one support them. Now I am off to target to get a raise.
All these kids on here whine like little bitches every time they perceive an injustice against themselves, be it from a race official, a coach (who's inevitably a sadistic moron), journalists who would rather cover Little League, or indeed any kind of shoe company who refuses to keep producing the same unprofitable model for 30 years.
But when it's Nike vs. some guy who paid $110 for a watch (an amount it takes them a whole week to earn at Target) then their allegiance is clear, because PRE LIVES!
So I am supposed to be some kind of jerk because I heard about this policy Nike has and sent 2 pairs of shoes that were defective (when an air bubble pops after a couple weeks of running I consider that defective). Its not like I sent a ton of shoes back. I sent 2 back about 4 months ago and get a letter recently telling me I am no longer welcome to use their customer service. Most of you guys aren't even reading the original post and have no clue what this argument is even about. I don't think you should be able to get a refund on every pair of shoes you buy, its not about the refund its about the way they treated me.

POST OF THE YEAR!

There SHOULD be a limit to how many times a moron like you buys a defective product from the same brand, though. SIX PAIRS returned by you and your friends?! And you still bought Nike?!
Idiot.

maybe u should check the original post. he gets his shoes from the college he runs for....
It doesn't say anything like that in the original post. This guy is an imbecile who has hopefully learned a lesson here.
You\\\'re all boobs, considering your 3rd grade spelling and fancy handle, I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd say that you applied for a job at Target and did NOT get it.
(Same goes for hyptonoad.)
I agree 100% with dsfafadfaewrq.
Just buy a new product, you cheapos.
You stay classy, San Diego.

Now you are the second worst type of customer, next to angry customer.
The Pegasus and the 2110.... on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Neutral to posting. You're an idiot suggesting a posted shoe to someone who has obviously been neutral shoes for quite some time.
dude I am in agreement with you. I am in support, I think nike sells an inferior product and they don't back it up with the quality of customer service...most of the arguments on this have people stating they have never had a defect in nike over 15 years of running, which proves your case even more...Nike should replace a defective shoes, no matter how often you send them back. People have lost site of true value.
ha, you stay classy....yep target wouldn't hire me. Something about me using catch phrases that had expired, and no original thought.
vote for pedro.

Sigh, another pubescent moron missing the point. Companies who make durable products and back it up with good service win loyal customers. Nike fails.
I did the right thing taking the watch back for repair or exchange. I wasn't sure if they would give me service or not, but at least this way I tested the boundaries of Nike's quality promise. And it sucks. So with that knowledge I can make better informed purchase decisions in the future and NOT buy Nike.
If you poor retards want to continue to buy failing products and make Phil Knight rich because "Pre Lives" (thanks al-Tinky, good post above) then be my guest. Meanwhile my Adidas shoes, Polar watch, and Asics, Brooks, Pearl Izumi etc. apparel are performing quite nicely.
ON the other hand; I've had the same Nike Triax 100 watch for 3 years and it has never failed yet. I find Nike apparel, athough it may cost a bit more, to be very durable and works well. Being pretty much the largest player means they will have a few more glitches. OVerall, Nike does more for running in terms of events and sponsoring runners etc. than any other shoe company. Unquestionably it gets bashed the most and specialty store guys are more anti nike than any other brand.
You also fail to see the realities of the marketplace. There are some brands that focus their efforts on image marketing and consumers that respond to that appeal. Free markets are very democratic since consumers vote with your wallets. Some people don't factor quality into their buying decisions and just seek the latest thing. Some will trade long term quality for a better price point. If you value quality and service, then support the brands and retailers that offer both. It is your choice.
Nike must have a lot of loyal consumers or they replace dissatisfied consumers very well as they are clearly the biggest dog in their industry and still growing. Nike may fail your personal test but I don't think any Nike shareholders are complaining about their track record over the past twenty years. Say what you want but they are a VERY successful corporation that attracts a great many repeat customers.
Why are you so angry and insecure? Your points might be more cogent if you didn't call folks pubescent morons and retards.
I think you and he have the same point. However, with that being said, I think he is upset with the choices people make in regards to products. He makes the point that people have become complacent with spending large amounts of money on something that doesn't last, but he isn't. I for one, agree, more people need to demand quality in both product and customer service. Have you noticed how customer service around this place(America) is now nonexsistent, well that is because most buyers will now forgo customer service...we as customers should both demand a better quality product and better service if we are going to pay upwards of $115 every three months for shoes, and if a pair should fail that $115 should count for something. And we should vote with our wallets. Nike could care less for customers like the poster or the watch guy, yet they should. However, they are well aware for every 1% of their customers that buy their products for actual use, the other 99% are customers for image reasons only. This may backfire in a hundred years when suddenly nike clothes are hip anymore, yet they've lost their core running clients...but I doubt it.
Any/All of you would work for Nike if you got a chance.
Quit complaining.
Absolutely not. But keep projecting.
