Yes. Remember when an entire Super Bowl had to be delayed because the sidelines couldn't have headsets? What an idiotic contrived game american football isI'd remove baseball and basketball from your list though.
The actual football game is fine. It's the circus around the game that is idiotic. At least for me, the circus part is getting so idiotic and hard to ignore that it seriously detracts from the game.

Did you know you can avoid all the circus and just tune in for the game itself. Yes, it is possible. Perhaps next year I will offer a seminar on how to do it.
American football is boring AF. There’s like 12 minutes of actual gameplay padded with obnoxious ads catering to a lowest common denominator IQ and performative patriotism. Really questioning the integrity of the sport with the surge in popularity of online sports betting, too.
Football is the most boring ball games of all time.
1. Players do not control the game. Imagine pitchers and catchers are getting instruction from the bench before every pitch. That would make baseball boring as hell.
2. Players are hyper-specialized. Imagine you foul Shaq, and Reggie Miller comes in to attempt free throws for their team. That would make basketball boring as hell.
But most importantly...
3. Balls move in only one direction. One of the beauties of any "goal" sports is moving the ball around back and forth and diagonally to create an opening for a shot. Football takes out all the fun.
1. Pitches are called from the dugout and have been for a while.
2. All sports are more specialized even distance running.
If I could place myself back to my high school or college track days, I recall gazing up into the empty stands, wondering if even my parents would show up, knowing my gf did a “gag me with a spoon” motion when I asked if she wanted to watch; even then I understood that what is popular in sports is out of my control and I know very well that my sport, track, is the most god-awful boring thing in the world to watch. Wake up, man. Face reality.
People love the big Hollywood TV shows like the Oscars, Grammys, World Series, Olympics, Super Bowl, NBA Finals, NCAA Final Four, etc. It's not all freeway chases down the San Diego freeway ;-)

Hopefully it will be a less boring game.
I thought that I was watching soccer until the fourth quarter.
The game is much better at the college level tbh… better rivalries, more variance in score, a real tour of american culture… unfortunately the broadcasting monopoly has been urged to drain every penny possible from the sport. The game really only makes sense (to me) if you play quarterback, some central role on defense, and maybe playing with the intent to coach later as an OC/DC.
Seattle's 29-13 victory over New England in Super Bowl LX averaged 124.9 million viewers, while Bad Bunny's halftime show averaged 128.2 million, both falling short of setting records for most-watched U.S. broadcast and halft...
In Tom Clancy's Sum of All Fears a Russian intelligence person puts it succintly - "the final game in the championship series of playoffs for American rules football."

That game was played in Denver - in an enclosed stadium: Chargers vs Vikings.
