Apparently, she thinks Hoka should support her for the rest of her life. I would bet that if you considered the value she provided compared to how much she made from them, she got a pretty good deal.
She should be happy that she got paid for this long. The average age in the NBA & NFL 26/27. It’s great to be making money into your late 30s as a runner.
Never heard of her.
Hence Why NAZ Elite is a snooze fest and continues to be
If HOKA doesn’t exist, Kellyn doesn’t even have a career to begin with. The traditional shoe sponsors wouldn’t go near her.
Steph Bruce retired and then unretired, right?
Bruce works as some sort of marketing consultant with Tracksmith, I think that's a great option for an older runner who still loves running. I'm sure she gets free gear at least out of the deal. Aliphone was picked up by Brooks I think.
Agree, she is good at marketing herself. That’s why she stayed in the game for this long. I mean, does anybody really give a sh!t about the difference between running a 227 and a 229 Marathon. The American women, unless something changes dramatically, are the B team of long distance running.
Why don't they get a real job like the rest of us.
Think about for a minute and break it down time wise for doing "doubles" for a Pro.
Morning run of a easy 6 miler @ 5:30-5:15 total time about 34 minutes. Warm up/down....ect another 30 minutes. TOTAL 1 hr. ( 6:30am to 8am)
Evening run 10-13 miler 5:15-4:45 total time ~ 1:10. Warm/down/lift...etc another 30 minutes. Total time 1:35 (5pm-7pm)
Total miles 16-19 and total time 2:10 add 30 minute nap 2:30
what do you do from 9am to noon then 1pm -4:30pm? If you are just goofing off on the net then why not get some kind of job u can sit and be on the net!!!
Us hobby joggers can get in doubles and work 40+ a week.I never missed running durning my China biz trips.
Shrewd move by On. Doris Lemngole and Ceili McCabe, steeplers who will continue to make national teams for the rest of this decade, were signed last year and On will present a very attractive pro contract to Angelina Napoleon when she decides to turn pro. Olivia Markezich is next on the chopping block if she doesn't level up soon.
Yeeesh Wayment had an off year by her standards but will still make teams in the future.
No guarantees on the US W steeple front. She's still a contender with a 9:06 pb and 9:08 sb last year, but things are getting pretty crowded up top. Napoleon, Halladay-Lowry and Mitchell are on an upward trajectory. Markezich was poor in 2025, yet she finished 3 sec ahead of Wayment when it mattered most (USA Champs). Gear, Constien and Jennings are still in the mix. Baloga has time to improve before LA28. If Chamberlain returns to the steeple in earnest, watch out.

Or at least work on a marketable skill that you could do post running. To her credit, didn’t Molly Seidel get an MBA while she was a pro?
At least he made it to the finish line. Tyler was with JP Flavin who went on to win at halfway. What about Paige who dropped out when things started to go south. Is she done too?
yes I saw that. NAZ Elite made a video following NAZ Coach Jack Mullaney around that day. I bet their expectation was to show off how good their team is but instead it was a disaster. Paige dropped out and Tyler was practically crawling. Jack must have begged the cameraman to delete the footage
Was Tyler the last runner from the Ben Rosario (as coach) era at NAZ elite?
Potentially some contracts ended with NNRunning's rebrand. No sign on their new website of Jake Smith & Bjorn Koreman.
Only Europeans remaining appear to be Abdi Nageeye, Marc Scott, & Nienke Brinkman. Will be interesting to see if they sign any new athletes with their new title sponsor.

Sometimes us "foreigners" forget that "following track" equals "following amateur and regional meaningless meets in Hicksville, USA and knowing everything about an 18 year old who just graduated from Billy Bob Senior High"
Most of us follow WORLD athletics and not your inbred, worthless local meets full of athletes who'll never leave your country.
OK, I DO notice an unhealthy obsession with high school kids on this website but that was a bit harsh.
You have a registered account on a niche running website and you're posting this garbage. Track and field fans never cease to surprise me.
Track and field has no fans. That’s why the pros have to glom onto the participation element and run the majors.
Could you imagine if the majors were just 25 elites running through cities? No one would care.
In summary, running is the best adult participation sport in the world and there’s no close second. Professional running is barely a sport at all.
That may be true in the USA but not in other parts of the world.
The solution here is to market the sport at the hobby jogger people and high school kids.
When there is a pro meet with empty stands they should give away tickets to every middle and high school kid in the area and their families. Get them out there.
The old 1980's road scene helped, too. I remember rubbing elbows with elite and Olympians in the post race tent waiting for awards.
That scene has disappeared.
I was recently at the Shamrock races in Va. Saturday there was a 1 mile with thousands of elementary kids running, jogging, walking through.
Why not have an elite set of races and have the kids intermingle in that HUGE tent they have on the beach?

Yea, I follow track and I’ve never heard of her. Her pro times wouldn’t even win a lot of high school state meets.

Andy Butchart been with NB majority of pro career and ran Scottish 10k record at valencia yesterday but seems to of been racing without a brand? Wonder if he gets a new deal elsewhere

I know the races youre talking about. Shamrock tried this. They used to have a paid elite field and elite guests and speakers and they cut it from the program because it wasnt beneficial for anyone but the elites at the cost of the other runners. Instead they do a ton for the local community. Sadly elites dont do great mingling and just want to do their own thing and rest in the hotel rooms. Average runners cant name more than a few big names. It just doesnt work that way. I wish it did.
Introducing Tracksmith Stamata — a women’s marathon team working toward their goal of qualifying for the 2028 Marathon Trials, supported by Suunto. The team that brought this together — Stephanie Bruce, Ryan Montgomery, Nick Willis, Massimo Alpian.
A women’s marathon team led by 8-time trials qualifier, Stephanie Bruce. Dedicated to supporting aspiring female athletes in their pursuit of qualifying for the U.S. marathon team trials.
I think most contracts would have expired last year as they often go from Olympics to Olympics but I can’t see perhaps some that maybe were granted an additional year.
Look at athletes that didn’t make an Olympic team last year and didn’t look great in 2025. Guys like Woody Kincaid.
Even Athletes who made the Olympic Team did not get renewed Kendall Ellis who ran a Personal Best of 49.46 to win the Women's 400 in the Olympic Trials is now Unsponsored, Monae Nichols who was in the Long Jump, Daniel Roberts who ran 12.96 in the 110 Hurdles to win the Silver Medal and when he was dropped he had made 5 straight Olympic/World Teams, There are more, Some without Contracts do not make sense not an Olympian but Hurdler Alia Armstrong does not have a sponsor, Another Hurdler who has been making World/Olympic Teams Alaysha Johnson has no major sponsor, It is Ridiculous and makes no sense. Roberts was Told he was dropped due to only having 28k Followers on Instagram.
