The chickens have come home to roost as a member of San Francisco Mayor Lurie’s security detail was injured today protecting the Mayor. One of the assailants was previously released by the San Francisco PD after fatally stabbing a man.
He probably just came to ask the mayor when he would receive his $5 million check.
Now and then I stumble on a San Francisco bashing thread, and I make one of my trademark witty, erudite, and/or snarky comments, usually apolitical and innocuous, but sometimes with Dear Leader as the target. Within minutes, I can expect to be swarmed with dozens of nasty, crude, and witless retorts from what I assume to be MAGA standard bearers.
It's the volume of the sheer crude bullying meanness of the rejoinders that is troublesome on this site. Not always, but often enough, the respondents have obvious nom de plumes, and their "facts" are either heavily "doctored," or they use whataboutisms.
Hiding behind this anonymity allows those with little character to be their worst possible self. If I still had teenaged runners in my curtilage, I'd (try to) be pretty strict on Letsrun access.
