Every year i stay hopeful that california kids will grow a pair and run up front. Josh bell and jason parra did well in 2023.
I dont count newbury park cause that was a phenomenon.
But most of the time with california i just expect more haha

This has gotta be the nail in coffin but I’m sure it won’t be, NY will probably still have its own region next year anyway
Leonard sounds absolutely gutted. Feel for the guy, he gave it his all. 3rd two years in a row is truly impressive tho.
van Meerten looks ready to rip an all-timer year as a Senior.
Why is there an hour break before the girls race? They could easily start that race at 1:00pm, 35 minutes earlier than planned.
Props to him and his team. CBA, Carroll, and AF are all absolute dynasties - went 3, 4, and 5 this year. This truly goes to show what incredible coaching does for a program.

Redondo Union best team in California
I'm assuming Redondo and Manhattan Beach have been training in the sand to get ready for these conditions. Do they do that in general? Does that explain why some of the better teams are from the beach cities?
Heartland boys went 7, 20, 21, 30, 32. Very solid
I feel like ny cross country needs a major facelift. The state meet is a joke compared to other states. Top five teams get left at home because they are in competitive sections. Horrible teams from weak sections make it every year to finish dead last. Thank god the bone head officials finically decided to bring back feds as an important meet, but they need to do it a step further and just have one state meet like California. Get rid of the weird Chsaa and whatever the hell they do in New York City that nobody upstate knows or cares about and just have a one big state meet like California
But it’ll never happen because people are too stubborn in tradition
But SW beat up on the flatlanders overall. Expecting to see almost as good of results out of the SW Girls.
why do none of these kids look happy except for the winner? isn’t this supposed to be fun?
does anyone know what happened to Phillip cupial? Got 1st at IL XC meet and 1st at nxr midwest and today he finished 187th place.
Overall, the course did not look too bad. It will get worse as the day goes on but I was expecting it to be very sloppy.
Southwest put 4 teams in the top 11.
They all beat the top CA team
SW individuals (128) - 2, 25, 28, 34, 39
HL individuals (139) - 7, 20, 21, 30, 61
NW individuals (155) - 8, 23, 24, 45, 55
SE individuals (164) - 4, 9, 47, 51, 53
SO individuals (168) - 11, 13, 16, 46, 82
NE individuals (189) - 15, 19, 37, 43, 75
MW individuals (INC) - 10, 18, 22, 63
CA individuals (INC) - 26, 31, 44

I hope he's not as arrogant as the rest of the family

Bro they are bummed. They came to win and put their heart into the race. I feel bad for Caden, he's clearly going through it on the stands. Let the kids be emotional, in fact I love how seriously they take this.
There was a team from East Sautucket
who went out to Portland and sucked it...
but they still showed their heels
to that sad team from Thiells
who early-on all said, "ahh, f*ck it!"
Galen said Niwot has an argument for GOAT HS team, and they had an incredible day...but I still think 2020 Newbury Park puts 3, if not 4, before Niwot's #1.

Thank you it's working 👍. Eager to see the girls run but won't watch The whole meet, it's too much time in between races. I REALLY wish it started earlier because now is the busy part of my day & can't sit in front of a screen for 2 to 3 hours
Just hoping we will field teams that can compete for medals in all 4 open races 🥇❗
