I like Cranny but when she announced that she "was sick of finishing 12th at Worlds" or something like that and wanted to switch to the 800/1500m, I said she can either finish 12th at Worlds in 2027 in the 10000 or she can not make Team USA in the 800 or 1500. Her choice. She needs to stick with the 5K/10K and probably move to a team that is more focused on those distances. M11 is clearly 800/1500 with Keely and GHB leading the way.
Assuming she gets a new coach before November, that’ll be five in three years. I can’t think of any athlete of her caliber that’s moved around that much.
why do you think she is out? i know she's not running well
M11 did a Q&A on Instagram like 2 or 3 weeks ago and one of the questions was about Elise. They said she’s still part of the group and training in the states
Why didn’t Cranny just join Union AC and train with Koko, Mackay and Hertenstein? Team trains literally (I mean literally) within a quarter mile of where she grew up. She would also have the benefit of being able to run for any shoe brand she chooses in the future. It never made sense to me that she joined M11 when there was a perfect set up down the street.
Because Pete's track record as a coach is as chequered as heck. Given Cranny has had REDs/eating problems in the past PJ probably one of the last coaches you'd want her to wind up with.

Simple: Pete Julian
You mean the guy who just coached Koko to the German National Record in the 10K? Or maybe you're talking about the guy who just coached Mackay to the World Indoor 3000m silver medal? Oh, wait, you must be talking about the guy who coached Sinclaire Johnson to her only US title and 5th at the World Champs (and just about every one of her PBs). That's not who we're talking about, actually? You must mean the guy who coached Raevyn Rogers to the Bronze medal at the Olympic Games and to four straight world 800-meter finals? Hmm. Oh, I know, you're talking about. The guy who coached Shannon Rowbury to 4th at the Olympic Games, a Bronze medal at the world indoors, and the American records in the 1500 and 5000m. No, maybe you're talking about the guy who coached the National Records in the 1500, 3K, and 5K with Jessica Hull. Or maybe the guy who coached Donavan Brazier to the world title and national record in the 800 (he didn't even get out of the rounds with the other guy)?
Oh wait, wait! You must be talking about the guy who just coached Suguru Osako to the Japanese marathon record of 2:04:54, the second fastest non-African-born marathoner of all time.
Gawd, Julian sucks as a coach. Cranny should definitely not go with him.

As an athlete that ran for Julian, I think every single female athlete that has directly been coached by Pete Julian would fundamentally disagree with this statement.
But this is a thread about Cranny. Just seems like she could have stayed in Colorado.

Did Julian really do all of that? There was this guy Alberto who Julian reported to.
Cmon silly, don't you know NOP was Pete's group and Alberto didn't actually coach anyone. Alberto just held the stopwatch for Julian!
Anyway, we can have a happy anonymous back and forth at each other where you say you're a female athlete who ran for Pete and say he's great while I say I know four former female athletes of his who say he wasn't (including people who have been cited in this thread as success stories). Doubt either of us are gonna fess up to admitting to posting on letsrun so others will just have to decide who they believe.
