None, the #usa# is literally the best place in the world to live. If you're not happy here, then you're not happy anywhere. period.
I used to feel that the USA was the best place to live but my views are changing and if this is the new normal going forward, I would relocate to somewhere less aggragavating to me.
Really topnotch healthcare system is a must.
I looked into Denmark but as a retiree, it's almost impossible.
Costa Rica - I heard good things about there.
Costa Rica... man you might want to do more research on that.
There are some really good videos made by expats that moved down there. It's not at all like your vacation in Costa Rica.. not at all.
Rolling black outs due to a poorly maintained power grid.
High crime (especially property crimes.)
On going issues with clean water.
Roads can be undriveable for weeks on end when there's a weather event.
The first question to resolve is which country I could move to. You can't just move from one country to another as readily as you can move from one US state to another. If I could resolve that I'd want to go somewhere I can speak the language so it would be another English speaking country or Germany or Austria where I can at least duff along as my ability improves.
Canada seems an obvious choice though I love Ireland and New Zealand. But I'd probably want to be able to visit family in the US and would prefer to be able to drive to do it and maybe watch the sports I do now. Canada seems the best place for those things. And life there is not noticeably different than in the US.
Yeah, I suppose you are right.
The weather there was the downside for me, but I could tolerate Vancouver's. Very good point.
Agree about the weather but if you live in the US north Canada's southern tier, where almost everyone lives, is pretty much the same. Detroit and Windsor are pretty much the same place but for the lower crime in Windsor.

Folks are down voting that the usa is best place to live? Look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what other country will allow you to just show up, and say, "allow me to stay, give me free stuff, and let me work under the table without paying payroll taxes"? Canada has an extremely tough immigration system as does Australia.
The USA has been and always will be friendly to those who want to legally come here and contribute. Why support policies to allow anyone to just show up, deport, and show up again....and again? They all work under the table. They drive down job opportunities and depress wages for people here legally.
Think folks; stop being so idealistic that there are no borders and we live on stolen land narrative.
Save us!! My heart bleeds for people who follow our country's rules. Make an application and leave if application is not approved. Don't come here to create your country within our borders.

Yeah, those Scandinavian countries were a pretty sweet option there for a while. Then their politicos started reading LetsRun about the problems with the influx of outsiders
Lets say that you are not happy with how things are playing out in the US, and you are reviewing your options if you decide you can't live here anymore.
What country would you like to move to? And why?
I'm thinking some of the scandanavian countries, but open to ideas. And don't want to find myself in a similar situation.
Where's it looking good abroad?
Norway or Spain, for completely different reasons. Norway for overall quality of life; Spain bc it would be easier for me to assimilate. (Spanish ancestry, elementary Spanish knowledge from school to at least get around a bit).
I don’t have an issue with paying higher taxes potentially, and I hate driving so I would love public transit. I went about 10 years without a car until Covid hit, and all public transit stopped or was limited.
But it’s not easy, and all of my family and friends are here in the U.S. I also have a pretty good job here at the moment. I’m realistic about what is possible and how much happiness would result from such a move.
Larry Fox is such a nutbag. He had one misstep on a chat show and turned it into his whole persona bc he couldn’t find work anymore and refused to apologize.
incidentally he married some MAGA chick from the U.S., probably to expand his brand.
He said he didn’t go to college and called his education at RADA a “trade school.”
Yes, I know too much about this guy bc I used to watch Inspector Lewis. Nerdy I know.
