Keely used a lot of energy fighting for position with Moraa.
Yes she had the right race plan for a race that went out in 56+; however being at the front for a 55 second opening lap was too much for her and Moraa. Reminds me of the men's 1500 in Paris where Kerr said one of the reasons Hocker won may have been that he wasn't right on the pace the first lap. Seems like a similar race here where mid to back of front pack was the place to be
to be honest, Keely ran alright with the knowledge that no one has ran 1:54 this year up till the race. problem is that you don't know what everyone else can do on the day
