Fred never should have dropped down from the 400. All his problems started then.
The Money is in the 100, 400 not so much, There are Exceptions like Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone, True she has done her best at 400 Hurdles, but My guess is the flat 400 is more Money the 400 Hurdles, but I am sure she is paid for her 400 Potential at least as much as what she has done at 400 Hurdles. I guess he switched for more money, and the 800 is not as much money as the 100 and that is why he switched to the 100 instead of the 800
Do they limit the women’s competition to biological females? What about biological females who have virtually turned themselves into men by East German style steroid doping? You might as well let biological men compete against women if you allow the women to take male hormones.
I wish Fred would just go nuts and tell the whole world what is REALLY going on behind the curtain in pro sprinting. I mean, let it all hang out- methods, dealers, others using, etc.
Why are people reacting to this like he wasn’t full throttle already? Are we seriously at the point where letsrun posters think an American sprinter running 9.76, 19.76, and 43.64 is clean?
1. Many Athletes believe Everybody is using PED's so since everyone is using Why not Me.
2. Can Anybody Break a World Record in A Track and Field Event, Without Multiple Long Threads on LETSRUN That PED's had to be involved?
Examples of #2
Mclaughlin as clean cut God Loving All American Girl,as it gets break Koch's World Record Without Suspicion? I say no her coach has been accused numerous going back Decades, So My Guess is McLaughlin would get lots of Guilty by Association Accusations.
There has been Negative Threads on Jakob Ingebrigsten Suspecting he has to be on it right?
Even Bolt has had Accusations.
I am NOT Saying theyare Guilty I have ZERO evidence they are.
… If I can see it, then I can do it If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
… I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky I think about it every night and day Spread my wings and fly away I believe I can soar I see me running through that open door I believe I can fly I believe I can fly I believe I can fly (whoo)
… See I was on the verge of breaking down Sometimes silence can seem so loud There are miracles in life I must achieve But first I know it starts inside of me, oh-oh
Kerley’s recent timeline is just so wild. A year or so ago I knew nothing about the guy other than his track resume and professional accomplishments. All his messiness came thick and fast.
If he “breaks” the world record at this event, he’s def getting a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
That's exactly what I'm assuming as well. But how much can this possibly pay? And if we've learned anything with startup track events, get your money upfront.
Kerley has been doing this sport for a long time. He was already running 43.7 in 2017. Going for the enhanced route makes most sense for athletes who have a great base from years and years of training but their recovery isn't that good anymore.
Psychologically it is not that motivating to do the same things but regressing because your recovery can't hold up. With doing HGH boosters etc. you can try get to break your PR's again and train harder than ever before.

Given how people act on here, from Rekrunner to Thoughtsleader to Gault to Coevett (if white, see Inge's 7:17), yes we are at that point.
Also while he was clearly doping all the time, it cannot have been full throttle, or he would have been hiding from the testers all the time.
So the question becomes, whether/how much he can improve on the times of his youth by doping even more...
I'd love to see the younger dopers join this circus, like Asinga and Knighton, and go all out with the doping for 2 - 5 years. That could become a show for the ages.
It will be interesting to see if there is a big jump in performance and by how much. There are no legitimate studies on the effects of PEDs on world class athletes because they are not allowed to take them and would never admit to it if they did.
If there is no jump, the conclusion must be either (1) he was already using or (2) they don't work as well as many people think.
If there is a jump, we can get an idea of how well they work since I'm sure his drug schedule will be publicly known.
He could run sub 9 seconds and the Rekbot will still say there is no proof that peds work.
I rarely comment on sprinters, and don't doubt the effect of steroids and their ability to increase power and muscular strength.
But to prove something "works" requires something a bit more controlled than using cherry-picked anecdotes and proof by confirmation bias.

If we are at that point now, then we were always at that point. It's not like we once thought they were dirty in the past, and have now reached the point where we think they are clean.
How am I acting? I rarely comment on events shorter than 1500m, and most of my comments and questions are targeted at blood doping for distance events from 1500m to the marathon.
Any assumption on my part that top performances are clean, can be compared to the "null hypothesis" in science, which hypothesizes that no relation exists between two variables (e.g. doping and performance) until it is established otherwise, according to a scientific method that has been used for centuries, if not millennia.
I cannot prove that any athletes or performances are clean, but I make no such claims either. Rather I give athletes the benefit of the doubt, when it exists.
