Jakob, not going to lie. At least that is from the top of my head. Had Nuguse or Kovacks got the ticket through the DL final a win for them would be cool as well. Gold for T. Cheruiyot would be insane. Also a gold for Almgren would be epic for him.

Brazier leading an American sweep in the 800m would be amazing. Would also be very happy if Arop wins, he seems so nice.

Vernon Norwood winning or medaling in the 400m would be epic- he's always there, racing a lot even though he's into his 30s, getting 2nd or 3rd in most competitive races but often 4th at trials races. He's been a great mentor to Quincy Wilson and others, I'd love to see Mr. Consistent get his own moment.

I'm always rooting for Geordie in the steeple.

Definitely Cole Hocker. I always liked the guy. When he was a youngster mixing it up in Tokyo I thought this guy has balls and has the right temperament to be a champion. He is a fearless competitor but also a likable guy. He can change gears and lanes like no one else and is exciting to watch. Hocker also has raw talent that has been developed in a believable progression.

Not exactly a “runner” - however Anna Hall winning the heptathlon would be awesome!
