There's some history here. Kenny Bednarek and his girlfriend are supposedly the ones behind the Track Spice account that deactivated once they were found out. I guess there was some "spicy" stuff said about Noah and his wife.
Check out this short. One of Noah's teammates explains the situation.
I don't see how you can say one is right and one is wrong. They're both wrong.
One thing I noticed was that after the gentle shove, Noah bounced around like punks do when they want to appear intimidating, like "Okay, lets get it on," but he was bouncing as far away from Kenny as he could. The last thing he really wanted was a fight. He revealed himself to be a "punk."
I always enjoy the villain personality but Lyles is just acting like a douche, especially to Bednarek of all people.
I agree, this is track, you get maybe one stare at someone who trashed you or something but now he does it everytime. He's just so completely unlikable. Maybe that's it, nowadays you get run if you are the good guy or the really bad guy like WWE? He just needs clicks.
Lyels is unlikeable because he taunts a sprint rival. What, are you in kindergarten? Kenny thought he was going to win and Noah was not fit yet and he was leading, and then his world fell apart a little, lost the race and stare down and then his cool and not so innocently shoved Noah and Noah is the bad guy?
At best you are culturally ignorant and then over your head. You also probably grew up in a pretty white, non-ghetto world.
Make no mistake, Kenny lost this round big time and everyone in the sprinters world knows it.
nobody likes NOah. but there isn't a person who doesn't respect his running. I thought this was Kenny's chance to steal one. but nope. brings some hype to worlds though!
really want to know what was said on track spice that offended everyone so much. and also, from what I've gathered, my guess is that a kenny b fan runs it, but Kenny is giving some of the info. but who knows. i haven't really seen proof of anything. and the account is gone, so we'll probably never know.
Great explanation. I used to like him because he was competitive but still a nerdy guy now he wants to act tough and act like everyone is against him??
When he was deep into his Yugioh or whatever anime phase he had going on a few years ago it was peak nerdiness having him do anime power-summoning poses at the start line but also cool and quirky that he had personality & character.
Now he comes across as arrogant and boisterous calling out his “haters” and actively harassing people he beats. In fairness it’s probably hard not to have an ego as a world class sprinter with a gold medal to your name, especially in the ultra-competitive US sprinter scene. It’s just annoying to watch someone feel like they have to loudly tell you how great they are and see winning go straight to their head. It echoes the classic rule of “cool people don’t have to tell you they’re cool”.
For what it’s worth Isaiah Jewett is the official champ of anime fandom in pro running. Interview below, clip at 6:17
Nah there is a one dude with Ace's(One piece) tattoo and he does one piece stances all the time when he starts the race and even after lol. There is actually alot of track nerds Noah is one of many
Always thought he was a cornball. Bummed Kung Fu Kenny didn’t win that one
Kenny is easy to root for. He just takes care of business and wants to run as fast as possible. Noah is a whiny child. I liked Noah back in 2022, but then he became increasingly arrogant the last few years.
As someone who really likes Lyles, this made me cringe. He clearly loves starting drama and knows this is good for the sport because it gets people talking about it. But this was just obviously forced and to the wrong guy. I’m glad they each got a national championship this year.
the Covid wheelchair was way over the top. He definitely tries too hard to be some type of personality. I get it, some agent or marketing person told him he can't "just run", but you can't really make up something you're not, it's like giving yourself a nickname.
Might be better off being "the fast nerdy momma's boy guy"
Sure this will be an unpopular opinion but track needs more of this. Track needs more rivalries, more hate, you know, actual nasty competition. Track needs to have athletes to hate. I had no problem with the look over or the chirping. Kenny had to go out of his way to put hands on Noah, so in THIS situation, if we HAVE TO assign blame because track is supposed to be CLASSY then Kenny is a fault here. Keep your hands to yourself. But truth be told, I have no problem with what Kenny did either. You want track to start getting more eyeballs then yes, you are going to need more besides just the performance. You are going to need Jordan vs Thomas, you are going to need Roger Clemens beaning Piazza, you are going to need John McEnroe loosing his mind. You know why? Because that is REAL. It's human nature. People lose their cool in sports whether racing or playing ball brother vs brother in the street or the yard, fights happen, people hate losing, people sometimes lose their cool.
Hate is a strong word, but there are certainly some unlikeable personalities in the sport right now. From thuggish sprinters (both men & women) to convicted & obvious dopers, to “they/thems” to nation hopping mercenaries (Kenya being the biggest offender) to female shot putters dressing like it’s the WWF. Also the men trying to compete in women’s events. It’s a freak show nowadays. Some will say it adds color to the sport, but it’s not a good look. Call me boomer, but I miss the days when the biggest offense was men having long hair. I agree that the sport needs rivalries. It doesn’t need to look like a clown show.

No bad guys.
World class sprinters have big egos. They have to and should.
Beef is good for the sport as long as it does not get ugly

The Kenny B push into Noah's back was a little too hard and could have knocked Noah over and resulted in injury
