I find it hard to believe that a 16 year old kid is faster than Jacob in the 800 who is a world class runner for many years. No Jacob cannot run a 1:42.
His incentive to dope was to make the team and a full ride to university or maybe going pro.
Sorry but I want to be fair and objective. On these boards there were post about a Kenyan running 3:27 and hate filled comments because some of his country men doped. Americans dope as well but we cannot at least be rational and think a 16 year old who's pr was 1:45 just drops a 1:42 out of nowhere and beats a1:41 800 meter guy.
I try to give the benefit of the doubt but this is just in your face.
Ok pretend he was black from Kenya and tell me if you would have the same reaction.
Great to see another brain dead let’s run user who instead of providing actual claims or evidence backing cooper being natural he just launches insults.
Do you understand the concept of burden of proof? That's on you. No one needs to prove that Cooper is clean. He has not failed a test. You would need to be the one to provide anything substantial. Instead you have simply defamed a 16 year old on a running site. Loser.

You guys do this all the time to runners and do not provide proof. How many times have I heard Kipchoge is dirty, Komen is dirty, Bekele is Dirty but drop your pants for an American You guys have no proof of many runners who you claim are dirty. You bias is showing.

It’s already been established he comes from a financially well-off family. He does not need to be on the WC team to get a full scholarship anywhere….his performances prior to this already guaranteed that.

You're even stupider than your friend. Never said anything about other runners, or even Cooper's performance. Just said that no one can definitively prove that an athlete is clean. It's like when Christians tell you to prove that God doesn't exit.

this must be what it felt like to see Ryun run 3:55 wtf I can't believe what I just saw
Ry
He reminds me a lot of Ryun. Even his near fall in the semis reminded me of Ryun's near fall the first time he broke 4:00 as a HS junior. His humble demeanor reminds me of Ryun too.
But his basic foot speed is much, much better than Ryun's was. His PR for the open 400m is even better than Sebastian Coe's -- and he's still 16 years old! He seems unique in the history of the sport.
Then again, Nigel Amos had a much faster 400m PR (44.9) and ran 1:41.73 when he was 18 y.o. but never improved on that (even with his doping).
