"If vaccines truly offer as much protection as you and Harambe claim, those measurables should be elevated."
This isn't true in general. The statistical requirement is that the effect one is looking for would have to rise above the noise in the data set, and you've picked the noisiest dataset available.
A more obvious metric would be to measure the rate of deaths and hospitalizations due to the disease for which we're vaccinating. Of course Covid hospitalizations and deaths are still non-zero, which is infinitely higher than pre-pandemic when Covid simply didn't exist.
The real evaluation, as always, should be on cost/benefit analysis which, under normal circumstances would be the job of the vaccine advisory board. The most troubling thing about the recent CDC announcement is that it appears not to have involved anyone like that, so we're left with no stated rational for the decision.
Most of the deaths are among the vaccinated / boosted and have been that way since the end of omicron (because the vaccinated / boosted tend to be unhealthy and advanced in age).
This is of course not a relevant argument to the points being made. But kudos for making a factual statement, albeit one that’s sensitive to a base rate error.
Here’s what happened when Sen. Ron Johnson started to ask forbidden questions about 9-11, the COVID vax and America’s looming bankruptcy.

Maybe some are. Some are definitely antivaxxers who will now hurt their child
They are anti-vaxxers who wouldn’t get the vaccine because they are anti-vax who now because of new CDC recommendations won’t get the vaccine.
You make perfect sense. lol
Not everyone is a blindly dogmatic blowhard like the guys babbling on this forum.
Certainly some people are hesitant or weakly antivaxx but seeing two different political administrations both support a vaccine that keeps infants out of the hospital would convince them.

What if they don’t trust what the government says? Now you killed their babies by keeping the CDC recommendation. (See how these assumptions don’t work)
I mean do you think the government should be recommending treatments that keep infants off of ventilators or not?
You failed to answer the question.
Because he cannot. Nobody can actually defend this poison for healthy kids. Whoever mandated it via coercion, or else, should be in prison. This is no different than having oxy on the shelf and making those who don’t need it, take it. Only worse. Eventually oxy will be out of your system, yet this poison will never leave kids and kids will forever continue to die from it.
Is there anyone who can’t get the vaccine if they want it?
If anyone wants it, they can still get it (as long as it is available. If demand is low enough, retailers may not have it on hand). They might have to pay out of pocket.

Yes, there will be people who can't get it because their insurance won't cover it, or Medicaid won't cover it. So they'll play the odds and go without, and some of them will die. Take a bow, you got exactly what you wanted: babies on ventilators and people dying.

What? So you’re saying the government shouldn’t take any stance. That’s silly.
The government should encourage treatments that protect infants. Like this vaccine.
which you implicitly agree with by saying people not getting the vaccine will kill their babies. I guess we are on the same page and you’re just being obtuse? I’ll take it.

Not what I said at all. You have a reading comprehension issue or are purposely creating a straw man.
No one is being denied the vaccine today if they want the vaccine.

If insurances change their payment strategy based on the changes in CDC recommendation then not everyone may be able to afford it.
now please answer mine
Are the pharmaceutical companies so ghoulish that they won’t provide this life saving vaccine for free or at greatly reduced cost to infants? Why do they want to see infants on ventilators?
Are the insurance companies so ghoulish that they won’t cover this life saving vaccine? Do they not care that infants will be on ventilators and die in massive numbers?
Do you have any precedents or is this just pearl clutching?

“If”. All they have to is say they have asthma, yes?
Yes, that should work! As it stands access shouldn’t be limited, I hope not! But it’s easy to see how insurers could change their reimbursement rules.
You’re taking a pretty nihilistic viewpoint here. Should the government simply never take a stance on medical interventions? Isn’t the role of the CDC to set guidelines for the health of citizens?
Do you think the CDC should be recommending the vaccine for pregnant mothers considering it’s proven to keep infants off ventilators? ( you will dodge this again)
