Asking athletes to pay their own way is disgusting, I agree completely. We can all criticise UKA, but we need to stop this myth that they refuse to send athletes with the standard.
They refuse to send athletes that have a high enough ranking but haven’t hit the UK B standard.
That's the same thing as not sending athletes who have met the standard. These athletes have met the WORLD standards/selection criteria, which is the only thing that matters.
UKA has decided to set their own arbitrary standard above and beyond the World standard, for no real reason at all.
