Section 237(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
It lists several categories of non-citizens who are deportable, including those who were inadmissible at the time of entry or have violated their visa conditions. It covers deportability due to criminal offenses, such as crimes of moral turpitude, aggravated felonies, drug offenses, and firearm offenses. It also includes grounds related to security and related issues, such as espionage, sabotage, or violations of U.S. foreign policy. Economic reasons like becoming a public charge within five years of entry are also listed. Other miscellaneous grounds include falsification of documents, unlawful voting, and abuse of student visas.
So, which of these did he violate?
In addition to the terrorism provisions, which are arguably applicable to his activities, section 237(a)(4)(C)(i) permits deportation of those “whose presence or activities in the United States the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States”.
Thinking one with either a green card or student visa can distribute pro-Hamas material bearing Hamas’ logo without consequence takes a lot of gall.
Why do all people who support Israel say “FAFO”? It doesn’t make you look like some smart badass, you’re just demonstrating that you are FIRMLY in the wrong side of history.
By the way, this is textbook fascism, even if you are pro-Israel you shouldn’t be supporting this.
I think you said it. Hamas the bad guys but you can have more then one bad guy. Arresting people for protesting peacefully is serious Gestapo stuff. Nobody should be supporting this crap. There is a long list developing in the last 2 months that is right from the dictator playbook.

If your neighbor tried to murder your kids every single day for 100 years you would probably get less and less tolerant of their behavior over time as well.
The big lie here is that Hamas is somehow separate from the people of Gaza.

Listen to the Democrats defend this scum....They hate their country....They should be deported along with this lowlife.
They don't have any. Hence the problem most people have with it. Now if you read the constitution it does say that the 1st amendment does not apply to criticism of Israel(it was promised to them a billion years ago), but most people don't care about the details.
Section 237(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
Under what terms of that can they revoke his green card and deport him?

I am reading people that are defending the 1st Amendment. Perhaps you should be deported if you don't agree with it. I've read enough of your drivel on this forum to know that you're a dolt. I don't think you'll be a loss.
Hamas and the Palestinians have fired tens upon tens of thousands of rockets and mortars into Israel. The only reason they haven't killed 100% of the Israelis (their stated goal) is incompetence.
If Israel behaved like Hamas all of the Palestinians would have been dead before they even started calling themselves Palestinians in the 1960s.
Why choose to ignore my comments about the distribution of pro Hamas material bearing Hamas’ logo? Notwithstanding your view on who is the bad actor here, Hamas is a designated terrorist organization. He was distributing materials bearing the logo and message of that terrorist organization.
The person to whom I originally replied indicated there was no applicable law supporting the deportation. Clearly there is.

Dunno if its true but so what?
A Hamas logo vs. over 100,000 murdered Gazans. The logo is worse?
That’s not been supported nor is it sufficient to deem his presence in the US security risk for diplomatic turmoil reasons.
Maybe you’re right. Maybe not. Despite being a lawyer, I’m not so arrogant to say that the application or interpretation of a particular statute is correct or incorrect in this instance. I’m simply stating that the deportation was not done in the absence of any legal justification whatsoever. I’ll defer to the courts for the proper interpretation and application.
