After the big public spat between Trump and Zelenskyy, lots of world leaders publicly voiced their support for Zelenskyy. Lot of Republicans cheered Trump.
So here is the question. Outside of the Republicans and their base, has anybody with any world standing or influence posted or announced any sort of public praise for Trump/Vance (or criticism of Zelenskyy) after the press conference? Putin or Xi, themselves, or any of their state run media?
The Polish Prime minister who is intensely pro Ukraine and anti Russia said something along the lines of., "500 million Europeans are demanding 300 million Americans defend them from 140 million Russians".
The adults in the world know Trump is right.
1. The war needs to end as soon as possible.
2. Who the good side and bad side is is completely irrelevant when violence is involved. The side that's willing to bleed will always beat the side that refuses to fight.
3. Europe refuses to fight.
4. The US is not going to fight for Europe.
Biden had 3 years to help Ukraine. He didn't do it.
Europe had 3 years to help Ukraine. They didn't do it.
It wouldn't cost the US a dime to freeze Russian assets held in the US, and we'd even make interest on it. That's one of the things Ukraine has asked.
Hell even Jimmy Carter who MAGA would call the worst President in the history of this great country froze Russian and Iranian assets
There is a negligible amount of Russian assets in the US compared to Europe and elsewhere and it’s already frozen. The US has long had no economic threats left to incentivize Russia to avoid them.
I'm not even American nor am I currently bases in the US, but I would say Trump is doing a good job right now. My reasons are twofold: first, he's bringing two nations to the negotiation table, so less innocent lives being taken (which is happening every day). Second, it forces the Europe to clean up the mess themselves instead of vowing to support with empty words while handing it to the US so in the long run we would be able to stand on our own. Tbh the US also has no obligation to help, when they also have their own problems. Zelenskyy is coming off as a petulant child with all his unreasonable demand, not a good look.
Trump clearly has a great vision. While he's condemned everywhere, I believe decades down the road he would be revered as one of the greatest presidents of all time in the modern era along with the likes of Reagan. Ngl I'm also jealous of the people living in the US right now. I wish we had such a strong leader for our country. :(
Regarding your first reason, when is Trump bringing these two nations to the table? I saw he had a private meeting with one nation, and a public meeting with the other.
The US was part of a 1994 peace plan that provided security assurances to Ukraine, in exchange for Ukraine giving up its nuclear arsenal. The USA does have obligations to respect that peace plan.
But even if the USA disregards any and all legal and moral obligations, it is in the USA's own national security and economic interest to check Russia's agression and expansion that threaten the global stability in several ways:
Jennings was hired to make faces at people and be dismissive of actual talking points because he never refutes democratic points with a common sense. He just makes faces and disrespects other view points lol

He's literally the only person on the entire network with any common sense at all...
If Ukraine surrenders the land without security guarantees, Russia will only continue to grab more land, as it did after Trump's agreement was settled the first time. That is precisely what Zelensky saying when Trump and Vance decided to never let him speak again. A toothless treaty is no treaty at all. Appeasement never works. And peace under tyranny is no peace at all; it is constant fear of extrajudicial killing, torture, and imprisonment.
Remind us of Biden’s efforts to end this war. We sent over $100 Billion there and the map has changed little since November of 2022 (lines have moved maybe 25 miles in that time with Russia gaining land along the eastern front and losing a little sliver in the north. So what has that money accomplished? Do we send another $150 billion and hope for another 4 years of stalemate with Ukraine short on warm bodies to send into the meat grinder?
Serious question for you. Why do you support endless war? Why do you oppose peace?
As I've been saying, Ukraine will surrender land and then there will be peace.
Yeah. You’re serious. You lean into disingenuous half truths and garbage time and time. , And here you are, acting as though everyone on the other side from you loves war and hates peace.
How about a few things: they detest the notion of trampling on a nation’s sovereignty enough to be willing to put up with war (Are there hypocrites among them? Of course. There are hypocrites — and fools and knaves of all sorts and extent — on any side of any issue.)
You have a “solution”: Ukraine can cede land. Why can’t the solution be for Russia just to pull troops out and cease their prosecution of the war? That would also produce peace. Ukraine would not chase them onto Russian soil, nor would NATO support them in doing so. If you love, peace, so much and detest war so much, why aren’t you and your fellow supporters of the president urging him to lean hard into this solution in his discussions with Russia? He’s the master negotiator, so he can pull it off. Art of the deal.
How about this? Even without drying overheated historical comparisons, one might consider this war and proposals for peace in light of the concept of appeasement. There is a very different perspective from the. NATO countries that oppose the kind of “solution” you endorse: they believe that would create a pause in Russian aggression, not an end into it. And then it would be back to the drawing board looking for ways to throw more concessions at Putin in the name of peace.
Russia pulling out would be the best solution. They should have never started the war in the first place. The reality is, however, Putin is highly unlikely to give in, and even with U.S. aid, Ukraine is unlikely to win the war. The question is, how many more Ukrainian and Russian citizens, many of whom are conscripted into service, need to die when the end result will likely be unchanged unless the U.S. is willing to enter a world war.
The best solution isn't always ideal. War dehumanizes people and it should be universally hated. Saving lives at the expense of a few pieces of land is worth it if you or your loved ones are the lives that might be lost.

But there's really nothing the US can do aside from sanctions and sending equipment (which sadly fuels the meat grinder that kills even more people) when Russia still has the upper hand. The crux of the issue is the Europe still depends on Russian oil. That's how Putin got his funds on the war in the first place.
I actually hate Trump. He's racist, sexist piece of scumbag and is a convicted felon who has no ethics whatsoever, but he hit the nail on the head that Europe has spent more on buying oil from Russia than it has given as aid to Ukraine. That's great vision. Had the Europe have more spine, Russia would've run out of money and had to back down long time ago.
Ukraine has the moral high ground, no doubt about that, but in politics, it's always about power and money. It's just a sad reality.

Im not sure how Trump looking to end the war is the villian here. all of Europe and Ukraine seems to be content to just keep paying for an endless war. Why do we wanna keep paying for that? its non sensical. As far as I know, Trump is the only one speaking like that.
We get it, Putin violated about 20 ceasefire agreements and didnt keep his word on anything, but that still shouldn't stop you from trying to diplomatically end the war, which it seems no one else has an interest in doing.
If you saw the Infamous meeting of our Prez and VP and the Ukraine leader and regard that as a show or attempt at diplomacy-or based on peaceful intent?? Then your viewfinder is twisted. You all keep trying to whitewash and detoxify your leaders mal-intent with soft language and colorized imagery. I dont know which is worse: that you actually see him in those rose-colored lights or that you know his true nature and intent and are manipulating it with Machiavelian intent. Strange and daunting!

If you saw anything but the 2 minutes the leftist media wanted you to see I'd be absolutely stunned.
That meeting was going for 50 minutes before Zelensky forgot where he was and what his goal was.
More on the Trump part. Look how that buffoon from Germany laughed at Trump way back in 2018 when he's clearly right.
The timing of the video doesn't quite match the headline. It appears the Germans are laughing at Trump saying "Here in the Western Hemisphere, we are commited to maintaining our independence, from the encroachment of expansionist foreign powers."
Regarding Russian depency, Germany in particular already knew it was exposed, as it had decommissioned many of its nuclear power plants following the Fukishima disaster, increasing the reliance on Russian energy. However, when the supply pipelines were cut-off in 2022, this did not have the predicted catastrophic effects on Germany's economy. There was an impact, but it was manageable.
While Europe still depends on Russian gas and oil, the reliance on Russia has been reduced drastically as Europe diversified, with a net loss hurting Russia's economy.
If you saw anything but the 2 minutes the leftist media wanted you to see I'd be absolutely stunned.

I think it's the same 2 minutes the right-wing media wants you to see. Zelenskyy was just reacting in disbelief at how much VP Vance licking the boots of his Supreme Leader Trump, and following up with the pragmatic question, how are they going to use diplomacy to get long lasting peace against a man who never respects negotiated agreements? What kind of insecurity does Trump harbor that he continuously needs to be thanked and praised, and is constantly asking for and taking the credit for the actions of others? I saw that Zelenskyy already thanked America at least 33 times.

Unless you consider Trump as a Russian asset, which you obviously should.

The left framed it as if Trump and Vance invited him to the Oval Office under false pretenses and then ambushed him.
Trump is smarter than the Democrats and he's got common sense so he understands how the world works.
The ONLY way you can guarantee that "a man who never respects negotiated agreements" is through violence or a threat of violence that is actually real. Trump understands that Europe cannot fight. They gutted their militaries and their industrial capacity. Trump knows "NATO" just means "the Unites States military" and he's not going to sign the US military up for a European war that EUROPE is not even willing to fight in.
You people are so mentally diseased with TDS that you can't understand anything beyond how much you hate the scary orange man.
