I've noticed Democrats want to help everyone who needs it, even if that means some people get a free ride. Republicans want to make sure no one gets a free ride, even if that means people who need help cant get it.
And nobody seems capable of a rational discussion about the real issues here. Two things can both be true: 1. Medicaid provides help for people who really need it, and only a horrible society would just kick all those people to the curb. 2. Medicaid is not financially sustainable on its current trajectory.
I know you are being a troll but guess what! You pay for them anyway. They still will go to the hospital (though likely avoiding any kind of preemptive care that might prevent serious illness) and hospitals will take the loss and pass it on to those individuals or Ins companies that can pay. Cheap basic care available to saves money in the long run, esp if it places an emphasis on preventive care.

Overturn EMTALA and this is no longer an issue.

we do not have a housing shortage, we have a people surplus
The shame is somehow a new generation of Americans will have to be educated to re-instill into society a sense of self reliance, hard work, taking care of your own da— kids. I just read on a DNC website where the goal is to provide all 3 meals to every kid in the schools.
And “ parents “ will allow this?
"The shame is somehow a new generation of American will have to be educated to re-instill society "......that blacks, gays, Illegal immigrants, Ukraine, Canada, Greenland , Panama Mexico and lastly separation of church and state isn't anti-American.
Also Trump(Putin Jr.) and his cult following were insurrection traitors leveraged by Russia.Mafia.
of all the terrible things our taxes go to, im very happy that some of my paycheck creates an opportunity for people to get the health care they need. even those who are working the system, i hope get care thats beneficial for them. i wish that for everyone and hate to think about anyone not getting help because they cant afford it.
when i was on medicade during the pandemic i took care of every medical issue that came up. after work started up again and it costs me money to go, i havent been to the doctors since and just figure it out myself the best i can. same thing for snap. i never ate more healthy than with pandemic snap. we gotta stop blaming the individuals.
Imagine buying lattes in San Francisco using a DOGE check funded by killing a 60 year old with heart disease in Oklahoma.
Winning?
Imagine having your labor appropriated and bring threatened with violence for not paying corrupt medical companies artificially inflated prices for someone else's medical products.

Both the Democrats and Republicans agree on one thing: there is nothing wrong with appropriating your labor and giving it to medical companies so they can provide products and services to a third party at a price that the third party may not have otherwise agreed with.
Funny how folks understand that this is fundamentally wrong because it simultaneously causes overconsumption, overpayment, and poorer quality goods and services to be offered in the marketplace.
Those who use sick people defend such an arrangement wind up working neither for the sick nor the well, but for the folks running the scam.
Yes - add work requirements and make cuts to it. Keep medicare, but medicaid is for people too lazy to work.
Agreed!! My son is on Medicaid and is as LAZY as they come. He has NEVER held a job. True, he is incontinent, nonverbal, developmentally a toddler, and can't feed, dress, or bathe himself, but is that really an excuse? All he needs is a good pair of bootstraps.

I’m imagining that.
If you want to give me money at the expense of 60 year olds in Oklahoma, go ahead. It’s probably not a winning political move.

Perhaps it's current trajectory would be more sustainable if we raised taxes on the wealthy instead of cutting them? Or if we cut wasteful defense spending instead of increasing it? HA! Just kidding. That'd be communism.
