This is news to me…that super spikes don’t give you a few seconds?? People across the board in the sport, say 3-5 seconds for a men’s mile, which of course is comparable in terms of total time running to the women’s 1500. I’ve never really heard anyone, who is an elite athlete or coach (despite the obvious incentive to say it “doesn’t benefit that much”), dispute 3-5 seconds benefit for a women’s 1500 from super spikes.
Any of the new super shoes conversion charts would put Shelby’s 1500 in Doha at 3:51 and change, with super shoes added to the mix.
