Cover songs only

The Clash are/could have been the greatest cover band. They take these songs and own them.

Roy Acuff was the first recording artist to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, yep, he was huge in that genre,

Bob Dylan a big fan of his.

She could have just sang them blues, as we know that wasn't her thang.

She nails it, Howlin' Wolf has got be smiling.

Luke Jordan recorded the original in 1927 a year later here came Dick Justice with his word for word cover,

Jordan a black blues cat who belonged to that Piedmont school of blues,. Justice a white hillbillie belonging to that Appalachian school.

Wrong. He was the 4th to be inducted.

On November 9, 1962 Roy Claxton Acuff was the first living member to be inducted into the Country Music Hall-Of-Fame. The citation on his plaque begins: “The Smoky Mountain Boy”…Fiddled and sang his way into the hearts of millions the world over.”

I heard this Metallica cover of Bob Seeger's 'Turn the Page' yesterday on the radio, and I can't help sharing what an awful idea this was to try to piggyback on this rock classic. I couldn't get through the whole song - yes, that bad.

What were they thinking?
