Jonathan Gault has written an in-depth feature on what Shelby Houlihan's prospects are moving forward. He quotes 3 shoe execs as to whether there is a market for her, has quotes from her new agent Paul Doyle and also a quote from Jerry Schumacher as to whether or not he'd want to coach her.

You guys! Please stop arguing. You’re spoiling the mood of this special long-awaited occasion. This video will help you get in the spirit. It’s an interview with Queen Shelby after her first USA outdoor national title in 2017!
Everyone: please post a video of your favorite Queen Shelby victory. Happy Houliday!!
Yes. He was waiting for the Burrito Lover to come, and then quickly put self hunted (tee hee) wild boar into hers. Cost him $10 though, so the server would assist him willingly.
That's how the deep state operates. It will be a warning to all future potential Olympians to not support Trump openly.
You are a racist. There is no question about it. You are accusing others who have been deleteriously impacted by racism of being “fragile wimps.” So at least you’re not a covert racist, you are wearing it on your sleeve, so I do credit you for being open about it. But never try to justify your racism by blaming victims of your racism as being woke. We will go to war if necessary over this and you will lose.
The funny thing is that he is calling others "wimps" and yet is spending his time policing ideas that he doesn't like on the internet.
He's a snowflake, a fragile censor.
When these threads really devolve like this one has, it’s hard to tell where the left wing lunatics end and the right wing lunatics begin.
Drug busts in athletics have bans associated with them. Misdemeanor crimes have penalties associated with them. Your logic would have those criminals thrown in prison for life. Shelby served her punishment. She is now as free as every other athlete. Who is your girl? I will let Shelby know so that she can point at her as she passes her.
I don't think that felons should spend life in jail, or that dopers should be banned for life.
I do know that a convicted felon is a felon for life (by law), and that Shelby will always be a busted doper.
Thanks for confirming that you know her directly. Explains why you are here defending a busted doper.

The calendar just turned to Monday, January 13th, 2025.
Shelby Houlihan is now a free woman.
Whether justice was served, or an injustice committed, the ankle shackles are now off.
We shall now see if Shelby was robbed of the best 4 years of her running life - or if the fires raging inside will still lead to one record performance after another.
Don't know when she'll lace 'em up, but first opportunity awaits this Friday the 17th @ UW Preview.
The system lacks accountability (how? why? what examples?)
The athletes suffer (what other athletes apart from you?)
and then a very curious part of her post: "I had to serve consequences for actions that I never chose to make."
I find that wording awkward. You never chose to make? Actions that you never made, I think, would be the wording, if you are innocent.
"Chose to make", could be nitpicky, but I think it's protecting herself from a bit of liability. I think what happened is that she didn't choose to ingest nandrolone, because she didn't know the name of the substance she was ingesting, but she ingested something.
I also found this an interesting word choice. Perhaps she's subtly blaming BTC, Nike, or her coaches.

Some of you have no clue what slavery was like, and to talk about Shelby as if she were just released from a plantation shows how utterly clueless and insensitive you are. Shelby has been free her entire life.
