If Shelby just came clean people would respect her more. But unfortunately if she came clean she would bring down a big name athlete with her. So yeah Nike does not want that.
+1
Or 2 - 4, depending on your definition of "big name athlete". Plus a couple of coaches I bet.
No worries, she'll get her chance. At BTC, obviously.
As for your conditions: I'd love to see that, but that will never happen. BTC doesn't want her to come clean, obviously.

Really? After she admits she’s one of the worst liars in sports history, people will respect her more?
There is no evidence that she didn’t act alone. What big name are you accusing with no evidence to back it up?

Houlihan could do herself a solid by appearing on a podcast with grownups well respected in the world of professional running who will ask some tough questions. I'd count on these two hosts to both minimize chumminess with the guest and refrain from the thuggish and oppressive glee with which some otherwise astute podcasters disregard manners and decorum.
No. Most of the running community is age 14-24. The barely know who she is. If they read one post about her being framed, they will rally behind her. She is poised to be the most famous female American distance runner this year.
What could she possibly gain? They would ask her about the ban. She would say that she didn't dope. You would remain angry.
Yes. But there are better questions, like:
1) Do you agree that the nandrolone wasn't in the burrito?
2) Do you still rule out supplements as source for the nandrolone?
3) What do you see know as the most likely source, and why?
4) How many tests have you missed in your career?
5) Why don't you publish your testing history including ABP?
6) How often did the AIU test you OOC in the various years?
....
If she doesn't say yes to question 1, ask her why the carbon isotope ratio was wrong (are you proposing wild boar, not farm-fed boar?), and why the amount was way too high for a stomach offal.
If she doesn't say yes to question 2, ask her what changed her mind, and what her new explanation is etc.

Why would she want to be interrogated? I have no interest in how she would answer your questions. Her ban is over, and it’s time to move on.
She wouldn't want to answer any of those questions. Why don't you go on a podcast and answer a bunch of questions about your finances and your sex life.
Her path is pretty simple. She's going to get back out and race. She's going to try and be likable (people that know her personally seem to like her). She's going to try and continue to test negative. She served her time, and if she's successful at the three items I mentioned, she'll have a sponsor by summer and we'll hear her say "I think I was wrongly banned, I fought it and lost, and I served my time so I deserve a second chance to compete clean".

That is exactly the point, isn't it? She avoids tough questions because the answers would be too telling.
I could go on a podcast and answer a bunch of questions about my testing history and my drug usages, no problem.
I could also answer questions about my sex life, but my partner might get embarrassed. Is that your point? Houlihan's teammates would hate her answers?

Rather than finding her answers to be telling, I would be thinking her interviewer is kind of an a**hole.
Mike smith will never agree to coach a convicted doper who gaslit the entire running community. But honestly? It seems like you made this thread entirely to be hateful towards Nico young. Go do something better with you time. Shame on you. And shame on the mods for keeping this post up.

Everything proved Shelby was lying. She lies and cheated and if you know the running industry you know who she did it with.

Shelby is a fat cheat and it was proven
Shelby was caught red handed and then played the victim card. People have tried this before, we literally laughed at them.
”Houlihan had also claimed that her positive test registered such a small amount of nandrolone that it wouldn’t have provided any performance enhancement. The AIU disagreed: “Just to be clear regarding the Houlihan case, this case did not involve trace amounts,” says Julie Burley, the AIU’s communications manager, “and has nothing to do with laboratory sensitivity.” The AIU also points to data that it believes shows the system working as intended: Over the past five years, the agency has adjudicated 18 cases involving possible contamination from meat, with 13 of them resulting in no violation”
