If Harris is elected, it will be with the votes of the American people. And that is the only thing required by the Constitution. The Constitution doesn't certify or limit political parties or specify how candidates will be chosen. If Trump and Haley both died just before the GOP convention do you think the party would have given up and conceded the election?
Backroom deals and pressure from those with leverage are a constant and continual feature of the political system at all levels and both parties. Do you think a majority of GOP party leaders wanted Lara Trump to become co-chair of the party?
Hey Seattle Sliver, it seems you're happy to eat the table scraps the Democratic Party has laid out before you. "Let them eat pie", they said. If she is elected, it will because the American people were put between a rock and hard place. "You get this piece of crap, or you get Trump -- take your pick, folks".
Sliver, since it sounds like you're down for the muffin, tell me honestly: would Kamala have been your first choice?
I highly doubt that, but I appreciate your willingness to publicly prostrate yourself before your Democratic masters.
