My previous post was truncated because I didn't want to write a lot and then see it disappear with the auto-ban, but now I'll explain this in more detail.
The #1 reason diets fail is... wait for it... hunger. Assuming you're not eating out of depression, which does occur, if you can curb the hunger pains, you can eat less.
Ozempic works, I think, by curbing your appetite. The problems with Ozempic are twofold. 1) It can be very expensive (up to $1,000/month without insurance). 2) Some people regain the weight once they stop taking it.
An inexpensive and easy way to curb your appetite is to take MCT oil by blending it into your morning coffee. I'm having it right now as I type this. A tablespoon of MCT oil is only 60 calories and, once blended with coffee, tastes like an unsweetened latte.
When I need to drop down to racing weight, which is 5-7 pounds below what I weigh normally, I will add 1 TBS of MCT oil to my morning coffee, avoid cream and sugar, and not eat anything until 12pm - 1pm. I can do this easily with no hunger pains or low blood sugar dizziness like I would get if I tried to do this without the MCT oil.
I did an AI search for "how does MCT oil help with weight loss" and found lots of supporting information.
Here are the results of that search with the links removed so it won't be identified as spam. I suggest you do a similar search and follow the links for a more detailed explanation.

Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) may help with weight loss in a few ways:
Reduced calorie intake
MCTs have fewer calories than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs), which are found in nuts, olive oil, and avocados. One analysis of 29 studies found that people who consumed MCTs had a lower calorie intake than those who consumed LCTs.
Increased feelings of fullness
MCTs may help people feel full, which can reduce snacking and extra eating. Some studies suggest that MCTs may increase the release of hormones that signal fullness, such as peptide YY and leptin.
Faster absorption and digestion
MCTs are absorbed and digested more quickly than LCTs, so they are used as energy instead of being stored as body fat. However, if too many MCTs are consumed, they can still be stored as body fat.
Increased fat burning
Some studies suggest that MCTs may increase the body's ability to burn fat and calories. One study found that an MCT-rich diet led to greater fat loss than a diet high in LCTs.
MCTs are also found in butter, palm kernel oil, and some milk products. MCT oil is a more concentrated source of MCTs than other oils, like coconut or palm.

Of course, it won't work without a proper diet, but you and your wife have a diet plan. What you need is help following the plan and a way to avoid hunger pains so you don't cheat on the diet.
I have years of first hand experience using MCT oil successfully, so ignore any down votes this gets from people who have NOT tried it as I have described. Just give it a try.
Even if you find it doesn't work for you, you and your wife can try it for a month for about the cost of one dining out meal.
