I just want to say this thread/spreadsheet is fantastic. As a freshman who wants to run D1, it is cool to follow and interesting to see what times get you where. I'm sure this is a lot of work and am greatly appreciative for the brains behind it. Keep going!
Daniela Scheffler just ran a 10:13 3200 tonight. I'm pretty sure that breaks the Ohio all-time record.
I think you’re right, that it is an Ohio record. Annie Heffernan, who recently may have had the record and ran at Notre Dame & Syracuse had the old record, I believe. Olympic steeplechaser Bridget Franek may have possibly ran faster but I’ll need to verify. Franek ran at a smaller division high school in Ohio.

I briefly looked and couldn’t find a definitive answer because I’m not sure my source was up to date. I do believe that Scheffler has the Ohio record for all divisions.
Heffernan ran 10:14.91 in 2013. Franek ran 10:16.50 in 2006.
The thread is getting a bit sidetracked with this news about Scheffler. I mentioned her yesterday because Ohioan Brooke Chapman committed to NC State for the ‘26 class. Scheffler is also a NC State commit but for 2025, not 2026. Coincidentally, current Wolfpack runner Grace Hartman of Oakwood, OH, had a high school 3200 PR of 10:21.

Technically, it is an inferior mark to Katie Clute's (Olmsted) 10:09.97 full 2 Mile from New Balance Outdoor Nationals in 2023. They should have taken a 3200m split, probably around 10:06 or so. Great run from Scheffler.
The google sheet is now private and I grant read access as requested. So far about 10 requests (vs the 1-2 complainers). I suspect as what has been posted gets out of date there will be many more requests.

Can you post a link to the sheet so those of us that want to see it can request access?
Not sure he asked permission to put my daughter on a list.
By this logic, the whole high school section of these message boards -- and really, all coverage of high school sports everywhere -- should cease to exist, unless the parents of every single athlete mentioned personally give permission. I'm used to off-the-wall comments around here, but wow.
