And why would athletes care about making sport enjoyable for the fans? I would do whatever (but not drugs) to be as good as I can, and if that meant running all the races I would do that, and if it meant training through smaller meets to focus on the bigger championships, thats what I would do.
If you think runners should show up as much as possible, do you agree with Nic Bideau having people run lots of diamond league races with 1 in 2 being a good race, like McSweyn running 12:56 and 7:29 some weeks but other weeks running 7:40 or 3:38, at least he shows up (if you think with your logic), even though I'm sure some weeks they knew he wouldn't be "100% confident he's going to win" which is what you claimed Kerr would only race when he is 100% sure he can win, while Jakob isn't 100% sure he can win maybe in weeks like this.
