Editor's Note: Poland's anti-doping authorities have issued a statement that claims that the documents linking Polish athletes to doping are "fake," saying, "Fake news discrediting Polish athletes appeared in the public space. None of the mentioned athletes obtained a positive result and none of the dates presented correspond to anti-doping controls."
Józef Bednarski (born January 21, 1941) is a Polish/American former professional wrestler and bodybuilder, best known by the ring name Ivan Putski. He was given the nicknames "the Polish Hammer" and "Polish Power".
This is borderline ethical on part of the hackers. Let's hope they take a look at other countries too.
fancy bear being obvious gru retribution made it real easy for the powers that be to brush it aside
we need more cyber vigilantes, but the truth is besides lame op sec mistakes all sorts of groups pay top dollar for exploits and vulnerability, a nation state actor like a chinese group is likely behind this
the internet being a military invention also helps discourage a lot, that Chinese great firewall was initially built with western tools and architecture by western firms
Almost all the dudes in this years final (except for one) looked like they were on drug cocktails, and strong ones at that. Not as bad as many of the sprinters, and some of the field athletes, but bad enough.
A few years ago a friend sent me a pic of a ripped Lewy and she was like wow for an older guy. I was like obviously doping.
Soccer covers up all its doping except the occasional sacrificial lamb like Pogba or Onana.
Considering Lewandowski is only 35 today, there's no 'older guy' aspect to it.
What was clearly suspect there is that multiple Bayern players put on muscle FAST, and many have subsequently completely failed to maintain it, have seen notable negative changes in body fat composition, not to mention look like their facial fat has rapidly declined (indicative of androgen use).
Why would anyone bother hacking POLADA of all things? Poland is an irrelevant country in an irrelevant sport. No hacker could possibly give a fck about any of this.
Hackers are usually linked to someone with insider access who can't keep their mouth shut because theyre sitting on something just too juicy to keep secret.
Hackers go after targets of opportunity, not necessarily organizations that need to be exposed like the Kremlin, CIA, or North Korean Organization Department.

Yes, but only when half their national team is in training camps in those places (e.g., Florida for the annual sprinter camp, Potchefstroom for all kinds of athletes). I was in the German testing pool for years living abroad and the testers would show up every year precisely when I came home to visit my parents in Germany.
National Anti-Doping Agencies (at least in Europe) receive public funds and accordingly have to report on the economic efficiency of using them. > I would agree that the list and timings make me suspect its fake.
But don't forget that positive tests are typically dated on the day the analysis paperwork gets finalized (and the ban if any starts), not on the day the sample gets collected - see the AIU sanctions list for tons of examples.
And some things about Patryk Dobek, because, as usual, nobody here knows anything. The guy was injured and had a newborn baby right after Tokyo. He is a family guy and didn't want to travel for sport camps, he splits with his old trainer. He did not have too much motivation for training/racing, because in Poland we have a system, where olympic medallists may retire after 40, with nice retirement plan. And he is a soldier. He tries to train for 400/800, but only part-time, trying to have regular family life, what is not easy, maybe impossible. That's all.
As for Kaczmarek, she is getting married soon, with a shot putter Konrad Bukowiecki. Not a chance for an incel-booy from letsrun.
I'm holed up in a hotel in Baltimore country fighting covid. This post is my post of the month. 1) Extremely informative with info an English speaking person could get nowhere else in the world and 2) Made me laugh.
Can I send you a free t-shirt of your choice my friend? Email me

Rojo - thanks for the t-shirt - I actually got too many after years of racing ; )
I have no problem with providing some info about polish athletes. It just bother me, that threads like this are full of lies and fakes - 95% of it. It's not fair for the athletes.
I know the case of POLADA. There was a real leak done by russian hacker group, 10 days ago. ALL the files from the agency computers were stolen - investigations, personal files, medical data, passwords written by plain text, etc. But it's obviously not the files discussed here - these are fake. The real files are gone now - from Telegram, where one could find them just few days ago. They are probably available somewhere in the dark web.
The real files didn't have too many sensations. Maybe some missed test - usually out of stupidity. It's not too difficult to mess with the ADAMS system. But not a cover up.
In reality the polish system is almost completely clean. Most of the prohibited substances are not available in the open market. We do not have a doping system. And we didn't have the major ban in, let me think - probably 20 or more years (in athletics). There were some cases, but minor - usually, again, out of stupidity - contaminated supplements or just stupid supplements taken without care. Or recreational drugs. The real level of dietary knowledge among athletes and coaches is appallingly low.
And we do not have too many successes in running in the last years - except the 800m, where the polish school is very, very good, very technical (Kipketer had a polish coach, btw and earlier - Juantorena, too). But distance running is in terrible state (we used to be good in the steeple in the past). And we actually put a lot of money to the system. For example, most of the athletes serve in the army, in the special sport-units. There is a political fuss in Poland right now - that we pump a lot of money but finished the Games with just one medal in athletics (Kaczmarek).
That's it. And we got just 2 global superstars - Lewandowski, the soccer player, and Iga Swiatek, the tennis player. Especially Iga is just a decent person. Lewandowski has some funny law problems and, of course, is getting older.
Everyone dopes in tennis. It's ridiculously easy even if the PEDS that work so well in it weren't already difficult to detect (EPO)
But that's not even it. Testing is a complete joke in tennis. It makes testing in T&F actually look strict. That and their top players are almost always protected. Only a few sacrificial lambs get caught once in a blue moon so tennis can say, "See? We're doing something!!"
Roided up freakazoids like Serena Williams were allowed to dope with impunity because she was simply too big to fail (not unlike Usain Bolt)
Or like Novak Djokovic for example. Tears his meniscus at the French Open this year, requires surgery and is making it to the final of a Slam a mere month later... then tops it off by winning the Gold Medal at the Olympics not too long after that
Or Rafael Nadal, dominates on clay for over a decade but very CLEARLY has a noticeable decline in 2014 (? -ish, don't quote me) due to age. But after losing to Djokovic in consecutive years, he gets back on the juice and is simply unbeatable again for another 5 years or so before his body simply breaks down from steroid overuse
Could not be more obvious with some of these players
There is absolutely no doubt Swiatek dopes. But she's the female Nadal and WTA #1 for many years now so she is their golden girl and heavily protected
Tennis cares more about match-fixing which if you know just how little tennis cares about THAT, then you realize what I'm saying in regards to their attitude towards doping
