Uummm it’s called the Olympics. Athletes train for 4 years to reach their full peak for the games. Name an Olympics where you haven’t seen incredible performances.
Bad post.
We didn't see otherwordly performances in the throws and jumps.
We didn't see otherworldly performances in sprinting.
We didn't see otherworldly performances in other endurance sports, like swimming.
As the OP said, this is a mid-distance phenomenon.
Cole Porter, er, Cole Hocker accomplished his remarkable 1500 victory in Olympic record time in Paris while powered by PEBs (Performance-Enhancing Baguettes).
I am shocked and appalled that Sebastian Coe has turned a blind eye to this.
The naivety of this place never fails to surprise. Athletics is known as a worse doping offender than cycling, as shown by its doping violations. When you are watching top track and field athletes you are watching the equivalent of the TDF peloton, in which every rider was said to be doped (and this from riders). You can trust track to be clean as much as you can trust the TDF.
It's not so much naivety as gullible zealotry wanting for evidence of the existence of powerful magical potions as if Asterix and Obelix are real.
They spend over a billion dollars a year in their "gullible zealotry". But you know they are merely succumbing to magical thinking while never having used peds or known anyone who has.
They are not humanoids but alien-human hybrids (in this case, most of them were 75% alien, 25% human).
Did anyone notice just how effortless it was for them? Classic sign of aliens. They are here to fulfill the alien agenda and no one will stop them, certainly not a couple of African countries
What improvement.? A fair number of olympic records set but how many world records?
None of the distance races were run like a time trial. The closest was the 800 which saw an insane negative split to 1:41x.
The 1500 would probably count. The pole vault was expected. Oly record in 10k was expected. Nothing else really earth shattering. Syd on the same cycle as usual. Other than those it was just some NRs ORs and whatnot.

I think you have solid points but Khamis agreed with you so I got to downvote. You just have to be wrong if he thinks you are right.
I accept that doping will always be part of sport. Heck, I had to be in the first 1% of people that doubted Lance Armstrong (as a cyclist, I knew his performances against a doped field were impossible). However, I don't view many of the Paris Olympic performances as suspect, especially when compared to past results.
For the women, only the Georgia Bell and Sifan are hard to believe.
For the men, only Sedjati.
After that, I'd say the closest thing to questionable would be Cole Hocker. Not because of the time, but because his first attempt at accelerating was blunted, and he could go again.
I guess the times were fast, but 3:27 and 26:45 are times that being run 20 years ago.
I agree with all but Hocker but your statement is good. I have been suspicious of Siffan since Tokyo and an ability to go from 5k to marathon easily is really suspicious. Winning london with all that stuff plus the fact that her form is really not that good in an event that requires good form just makes her get an asterisk in my mind.
The OP’s question was directed at people who believe the performances were clean.
He was seeking a credible explanation.
Since you cant read the name of the thread it is "If it isn't PEDS, what were the reasons for the incredible performances in Paris?" This means a reason BESIDES PEDs. You said PEDs.
Hocker had always won supershoes from 2021 to 2024 but nothing like 3 seconds improvement after 2 rounds and 3 days, and, decelerating and re-accelerating in the final 100m, you feeling me????? So it's clearly not just the shoes since the shoes doesn't seem to be the most immediate susceptibility or precursor to his astonishing victory over would-be clean winner Josh KERR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hocker is clean and it’s killing you. Lol. He crushed the big mouth in the stretch.
Look when you folks tell me 'you don't really know Hocker is dirty' do you know what's my riposte to them sir??????????????
Well I tell them 'you also don't really know Hocker is clean' LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's 50/50 but here's the thing I'm very good at 50/50 judgement you feeling me sir??????
Due to my avant-garde RF advancement, and if I apply enough mental concentration in any athlete and their space-time history, I would be able to overturn 50/50 and make it either 0/100 (definitely clean) or 100/0 (definitely dirty) you feeling me sir??????
This is called KNACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A knack is a skill, and an incredible knack is then an incredible skill!!!!!!!!!!!
You disaffirming this knack of mine doesn't make it truly disaffirmed or false btw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look sir, you really can't read as well, the thread says 'IF' it isn't PEDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That means it's 50/50, it can be PEDs, and, not PEDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'IF' is a relative 50/50 space-time, it may or may not have occurred yet so both sides of the argument is still valid duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Armstrong is correct to choose the side of the argument that supports a PED approach to high performance distance sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So please stop haranguing my darling Armstrong thank you!!!!!
Obviously, dear rekrunner, knowing your pro-doping tendencies and how offended you are whenever I put to you your pro-doping nuances, I'm not surprised you are looking for powerful and magical drugs as if Asterix and Obelix are real lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least my darling Armstrong is truthful that the sport is as dirty as TDF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I trust Armstrong's expertise as it resonates with my RF one. I just don't trust you dear rekrunner and I'm so sorry about that!!!!!
Gullible zealotry wanting for evidence -- case in point. The consequence of your misplaced trust is self-delusion.
Ummm no, you are saying I misplaced my trust in my darling Armstrong and also Coevett really???? These 2 male men are very very well knowledgeable in the field of human psychology/psychiatry and behavior as applied to high performance sport in a variety of sports but mostly in distance running. Can't you FEEL them up and their authenticity dear rekrunner????????
Are your 'feelings' not functioning at all because if that's the case you need to SEEK HELP from a holistic health specialist who will lay you down in a Himalayan Salt bath half naked to detoxify and purge all the harmful poisons from your lymph nodes, you feeling me rekrunner??????
Get your lymph nodes straightened first please, and, connect your phone and laptop with an ethernet cable to free your mind from anthropogenic RF which then regains your 'feelings' for Armstrong and Coevett!!!
I know for a fact that Armstrong and Coevett are very sincere individuals who fights doping aggressively and voluntarily unlike you who seems to do the opposite instead!!!

Yes you have great intuition and instincts here, just like my darlings Armstrong and Coevett!!!!! We all know Hocker was on the PEDs otherwise he could never have ran a 3:27 race like it was a 3:50 one, you feeling me sir????? And yes it might sound ridiculous but I won't discount that Hocker had his French Baguettes laced with PEDs!!!!!!!!

Amazing doping insight there sir, I have taken great note of your points about Sifan Hassan!!! Yes, to go from the 5k to the marathon all within days of each other including a 10k in between does strongly suggest a PED approach to high performance distance sport, you feeling me sir?????
I don't follow women's distance as closely as I follow men's but I always give the benefit of the doubt to a capable LRC folk like you who is able to give a reasonable acquittal for why she could be doping. So I'm with you on that!!!!!
From today onwards, Sifan Hassan is on my red flag list of women's distance runners!!!!!!
