I hope he leaves LRC and I have no more reason to come to this website.

Announcer on the Peacock broadcast just quoted Jonathan Gault.
How much cash did LRC slip the announcer to have that done?

I really don't see the point of this versus the usual time qualifiers. Just adds one more race for the people in these.
My big surprise was Ollie and Stewie. First, that they both repeated the stupid tactics that put them in this round, and, second, that they both just folded so badly. Looie was barely moving the last 200m.
Yeah that is the point. More racing to show the folks in the stadium and on TV. And avoiding everyone getting a time qualifier simply by being the in the one heat in the first round that had someone take it out hard instead of truly earning it.
8x1k and 30min thresholds only going to get you so far, time for Stewy to change it up MTC is a black hole and guy doesn’t know how to race in championships only time trials, time to move onto the roads buddy.
no idea wtf happened to Ollie he looked off both races and let’s be ready no one though Spencer wasn’t gonna make it through.
should’ve have Cam Myers in there
Love this Repechage. Gave George Mills among others a second chance. They ran faster than any of the quarterfinals. Love it.
Love the repechage, too. Yeah, it's another fatiguing race, but it's up to the runners to take the second chance to get thru, and look: they all lined up for the chance to clean the slate and try again.
Re: Oli's injury.
It's like he's missing that final gear - could that be related to his injury?
It's funny, too, that Mario also seems to be lacking that finishing touch. They both are just left in the dust, hitting the wall, when everyone else's gears shift faster. Others have noted that they may be cooked from overtraining in recent weeks... if so, that's sad. Though, you'd think they would know if they're not tapering enough? I can't quite grasp how much faith top-notch runners place in their coaches vs. their own guts... (many runners in interviews say "well, my coach said to do this, so I did [like a robot]"...)
Hoare had a bad couple days here but just won a diamond league in 3:49 for the mile, he’s clearly in shape, maybe just peaked a tad early and didn’t have enough fitness built up from his injury comeback to hold him over. Was bummed and shocked when he didn’t make it but equally as excited for Mills/ must be good gut health
When is the Re Upcharge Round? I heard Total Running Productions mention it.

I am also very bummed Hoare didn't make it thru. Though, as great as 3:49 is, maybe that does equal a ~3:34 1500, which isn't his best at all. I'm sure the mathletes can correct me, but if he was rockin' & rollin' towards the Olympics, a 3:47 or faster would forecast more...
One issue I think Hoare has is he is carrying a little bit of blubber round his guts. He has a notoriously bad diet from all accounts. Even 1kg of extra fat at this level can make a huge difference.

Oli Hoare is carrying too much weight? Seen some nonsense on here but this takes the cake. If he's overweight there is no hope for the rest of us. If anything he looks too thin. It's well documented he's had some mental health struggles and you think it's appropriate to write rubbish like that? He won a diamond league a couple of weeks ago. He's in good shape. From what he said he's been struggling with the mental side of the sport. His diet didn't seem to stop him running well this season up to now. He seems to struggle with the pressure of championships. Hopefully he works it out.
