This was also just posted by Samantha Palmer. They must have been given the official word on the 10000. Valby’s post from two days ago was probably related to ESP scratching the 5000. Now, we just need to wait and see if Schweizer is in.
It’s a 4 day interim, assuming she were to actually make the 5 final (on Aug 5.)
It’s manageable for her, but I guess she wants to give her all in the 10000.
I wonder if Karissa will double.

-3 Kenyans in sub-29:30 shape -3 Ethiopians in sub-29:50 shape -Hassan Sub-31' tier: -Cheptoyek (30:03 in Valencia) -Chelangat (30:24 at Pre) -Kelati -Lauren Ryan -Megan Keith -Schweizer -Valby -Van Es -Battocletti (might only be running the 5,000) and McColgan and at least two Japanese and X-country athletes.
And maybe if she isn’t too burnt by the end of the Olympics, there are a couple of later Diamond League meets running the 5000m, where possibly Parker could face Karoline Grovdal (only running the 5 at the Olympics) and Nadia Battocli and Nathalie Blumqvist.
