I'm a high school runner. 4:19/9:28. I've been contacted by a few coaches and the school I am drawn to most due to it's campus, seems to not be doing well in running.
The coach is full-time and presented the team and school well... He seems nice with no red flags.
So I looked up his freshman class to see how he had been developing his runners. I normally only look up the faster ones, but then I was shocked to see such regression across the board or lack of any significant improvement.
I think financially, and academically, and location that this is the best fit for me. I’m just not sure how to proceed.Anyways- here is the research I did... Any advise would be great. I've considered bringing this up to the coach but I don't think that is the best option.
Freshman on the team:
High school Pr's are on the left..... college prs on the right. Some of these seem to be sophomores, but are listed as freshman for some reason.

This post only got bumped because of unrelated spam, but it does raise an interesting question that might have helped OP 2 months ago:
How often do freshmen improvement after joining a college program? College is a significant adjustment for most kids out of HS, and I'd imagine the struggle to adjust combined with the added pressures/demands at a higher level would play a role in what times they post as a freshman.
