While I think Noah is great for track, his comments prove one of my maxims, "Everyone wants to be the underdog/victim.".
I mean give me a break. It's hard for Noah Lyles to be black in America? Really? How so? Give me one example. The dude was given MILLIONS of dollars out of HS.
Why doesn't he try being black in either of the most successful track countries in Africa? In Kenya, less than 20 years ago, they openly had ethnic killings where the various tribes were wiping each other out. In Ethiopia, the civil war ended in November. Memo to everyone, not everyone is nice on Planet earth. Sometimes blacks hate blacks, sometimes white hate blacks, etc.
Why doesn't he try being white as an unemployed person in West Virginia with little education?
Now am I saying there isn't racism? Of course not. But it's honestly disgraceful to me that we are teaching a generation of kids this is a bad country. We had a racist past but we tried to make amends for it I was proud to vote for Obama in 2008 thinking everyone would celebrate how far we've come. Instead, we are now reverting back to the 1920s and if it wasn't for the Supreme Court would be actively discriminating against people based on race.
