    Ron Clarke ran 27:39.4 (27:39.89) in 1965 on DIRT & the spikes of the day, basically solo after ~ 1600m. The sport has moved on. Today he’d run 26:50 with today’s - pace lights, spring loaded spikes on these rubber carpeted tracks.

    nico young always looks like he's hurting and has been wildly sucessful as a hs runner, collegian, and pro so far
