Notre Dame is Catholic, and Catholics typically don't proselytize in the way that Mormons and evangelicals do, so this tends to be less off-putting to those from outside the tradition.
Sadie has a private coach for years now and it’s caused drama on the team and with the former coach who quit because of if and now Josh Spiker is the new Ventura HS coach dealing with it. Her current coach Matt Hammel is on the spectrum and very difficult to deal with. I don’t blame her for going to NC.
How is this not a headline story. Her coach is on the spectrum!?!? That’s a great story that should be told. A lot people with kids with disabilities could use this as inspiration. If he’s coaching her this will help people in that community. Good for him and her to work with him.

Good call! In my book, ND has the #1 2024 recruiting class. Better than NAU/NCSt/BYU. Stanford had the #1 2023 class. As of now (long way to go) NCSt has the #1 2025 class.

Matt is NOT on the spectrum. There was a lot of drama for sure and people have very strong opinions about what happened with Coach Cruz quitting etc. etc. blah blah blah. Matt only wants what’s best for Sadie and she wasn’t running as well as she thought she should be, lost faith in Cruz and so her and her parents turned to Matt (her age group coach) amd things got very weird for all involved. But he’s NOT on the spectrum, just passionate and has his own ideas and opinions about how things should be done.
Im excited to see what Sadie can do for the next year and a half and then I wish her the best at NCST - a great program with proven success and by all appearances really endear the athletes who are on the team.

I think Cornell is mocked both as rojo coached there and it's the worst ivy
As limited as their research faculty is, by comparison to the top schools, the University of Florida does get the vast majority of the top students in Florida, since its tuition is free under Bright Futures, and though this is Florida we are still talking about the cream of the crop of over 1 million students.

When people can run fast, they talk about running times and championships. But since most people are hobby joggers, they had to add something such as academics and degrees to the discussion.
would rather my kid went to nc state than harvard. lot of bozos in this thread whining about academics when the entire college system is a total scam & in the workforce nowadays its almost irrelevant where you go to college if you are intelligent/self-sufficient
