Didn't her ban run from 2018 - 2022? But yes, this is as sad as typical for our sport. A doper gets hired to coach young college athletes, and then naive fans hope there is no doping in college sports.

Well at least she didn't blame a burrito, and AIU and CAS etc., but an unnamed person who doped an unknown athlete who ended up cross-contaminating poor Alex. And since all 3 are so great people, she rather accepted a 4 year ban than naming those cheaters.

Nothing wrong? In what world is a not wrong to coach a banned doper during her ban (as a college coach!), and to invite a banned doper during her ban to your team for a "motivational speech"?

It appears that Gouchenour's ban expired December 31 and Iowa State hired her on the 1st workday following that.

Unless her ban was extended by over 1.5 years (link?), it ended on June 23, 2022, not on December 31, 2023.

I think you are correct. Looks like the decision may have been made later because this article is dated 12/31/19 but her ban started June 2018.

If there is no consequence for what you are accusing Shayla of, is it wrong? I don't think it is wrong. The head coach at Iowa doesn't think it is wrong because he hired her. Her athletes don't think it is wrong because they continue to run for her. I think it is wrong for you to say bad things about her.
