Not to get off topic or nitpick (bc I make my share of typos), but you’ve had trouble with “guarantee” twice in this thread. If you are who I think you are, that’s really uncharacteristic of you.
You guys have always told us that a big drop is the sign of doping. Now you tell me that sustained improvement year after year is a sign of doping. Sounds like every female runner who has gone sub 5 in the mile must be doping.
The day that Wiley gets away from the Johnsons and Huntington, and denounces the Johnsons, is that day that I will become of big fan of hers.
100% same here. No one is against her. At this point she’s doing it to herself staying involved with those two criminals. It’s a shame Addy doesn’t have good people in her life to help her with this.
Gald to hear it. She will go pro before the end of the school year. And everyone here claims that they will all become big fans. So her decision to have attended HU for 2 years was the best decision possible because she is outperforming everyone in D1 and the track community will all become fans when she goes pro. Win-win for everyone.
Does someone making a claim (any claim) mean that it is 100% pure truth?
It is common for a person found guilty of doing something bad to be blamed of more bad things (that they may or may not have done). That is one reason why it's important to avoid doing bad things. However, that doesn't make untrue or unproven things true and proven.
Addy doesn't deserve hate and disrespect for sticking with her "dumb" convictions of what she believes is right and true.
Nobody will answer the question if Jill Biden should leave Joe Biden? Bill Clinton's wrongdoings were proven but people aren't demanding that his wife leave hime before they become fans of his.

I'm not so sure about the bolded part, above.
She probably would have done better training with better athletes that would push her and being coached by better coaches. She could still outperform the D1 runners in the 800 & 1500 but even more so. Wouldn't you agree?
Also, keep in mind that a career as a middle distance runner is fleeting. It's not like she is going to be pulling in millions like some like Noah Lyles is. Middle distance runners have a limited shelf life. Will she have earned a degree prior to going pro? If not, she'll want to keep the option open to go back and earn it at a later date.

These are good questions. It’s possible that she might have been able to train with better athletes, had better coaching, and run even faster. But, the only person who can reasonably make the best decision for themselves is Wiley. Perhaps she knew that she just wasn’t ready to be challenged daily in practice by other females, but that she felt fine being pushed in practice by the Huntington guy. Perhaps she felt that she really needed the stability of being home for just awhile longer. Regardless, her decision is not a moral good vs a moral bad, and we will never know what the alternative would be, so we’ll never know which one was better. That said, it’s hard to argue against the development she demonstrated. Most other situations would not likely have turned out so well.
I also agree with you that her running career will be relatively short-lived (even if she goes to mid30s), so it would be beneficial to both have an eye toward maximizing the running years while also having an eye toward what she’ll go into afterwards.

In the real world, there was an obvious scandal at HU reported in the media and subsequent lawsuits. Now we still don't know the entire scope of it or if everything was "100% pure truth" or what degree of merit persists. That said, I don't think it's unreasonable to discuss this issue on the the most World Famous Message Board for track & field. That doesn't mean that some of the more fanatical fans/trolls aren't being sheety, but sticking your head in the sand and pretending that this is a nothing-burger is disingenuous.
No I would not agree. Would Valby be faster at NC State?
So you're telling me she's better off training under Austin Roark at Huntington with athletes that can't push her rather than in Boulder at altitude being coached by Mark Wetmore and with athletes that can push her? Ok, got it. I can tell that you don't have her best interests in mind.
