And Grant Fischer isn’t a 10k athlete, he’s a track and field athlete. Of which there are MANY who are MUCH better. He also benefits from countries deeper at his event only being able to send 3 athletes to meaningful meets.

I think Travis Kelce would probably throw the discus farther than Grant Fisher.

Two American records doesn't make you the best-ever American. You aren't doing an accurate comparison here.

Every NFL team would want Kelce. Not every country would want Fisher. If you let all the African nations enter their runners and not limit them to 3 per country, where does he finish?? there’s a reason we have better results in the marathon, 10k, 5k at Olympics and Worlds because the field is limited. one of those things that look good on paper but the only mid distance male athlete who can properly contend for medals is the Goose. He’s in the mix for a WR. Fisjer is 22 seconds back. we could see someone below 26 before a US runner breaks 26:30.

He should move to the marathon and rack up appearance fees. An American running 2:05 is worth more finishing 8th every 4 years.

Obviously we prefer Fisher on a running forum. If you don't, you're on the wrong website. I think it's a dumb question for numerous reasons. Why are we even talking about the NFL unless it's a track athlete? Kelce is not worth mentioning for his running ability, therefore I couldn't care less on a RUNNING website!!!
