Transgender women still running and winning as females six months since ban Exclusive: Team featuring transwoman was awarded first place as rules face backlash and rivals fear death threats
I think you gotta go arrest her OP. Take matters into your own hands. This is definitely impacting your life in a big way. Once you make that citizen's arrest, you'll have no choice but to run for office on this alone. Who cares if you'll accept money only from corporate donors & won't do anything for working people -- you know that this is actually the most important issue facing Americans today.
People focus on this issue here becaues it's a running website. Aside from that, the trans issue is ground zero for authoritarian leftist thinking. It illustrates starkly the degree to which authortarian/illiberal leftists are willing to part ways with reality. Every single human being that ever existed is a product of the sex binary, yet we have entire institutions (as HobbyJogger pointed out, not knowing the depth of corruption in academia, the media, and several professions) denying this fundamental fact and promoting a child castration doomsday cult under the banner of "care."
A few decades or so from now, when many of those children whose breasts, genitalia, and gonads have been chopped off and whose lifespans have been shortened by harmful cross-sex hormones take doctors and therapists to task for what they've done, you may realize just how effed up this whole thing is.

More people regret, having a religion shoved down their throat than ever regret transitioning
more people who don’t fill line with her gender commit suicide than ever regret transitioning.
your emotional hypotheticals are not effective because they’re not true
Only cursorily saw that this video says it’s about politics, but politics must by necessity play on a latent fear that already exists, and it should be obvious that that in this case is a visceral fear coming from a place similar to eugenics, a feeling that our pristine society will be polluted by weird subhuman creatures (just like it was with blacks and gays) except with trans and DSDs, only a tiny fraction of an already tiny fraction will ever reproduce and an even tinier fraction of them have heritable genetic mutations if at all.
DSDs caused by random mutations and whatever causes the other DSDs and trans have been around forever and there’s no reason to think they are going away or increasing in numbers.
Question. If someone shows up to a meet looking like they are 70 years old and want to run in the masters age-group category. I assume your position is, no matter how relaxed the race is, they should not be allowed in that category without their birth certificate proving their age? Is that correct?
1. What is "birth sex"? How is it determined? Is it binary? Are Semenya, Mboma and Getachew are "natal females"? Should they be allowed to compete in the women's division?
2. Are you against the WA's new policy that allows some "natal males" to compete in the women's division? Is it too ambiguous for you?
1. As I stated before, I recognize that sexual ambiguity is a real thing, e.g. Semenya, Mboma and Getachew. Unlike 99% of humanity, they don't fit neatly into the sexual binary. However, for purposes of binary M/F athletics, I believe that people born with XY chromosomes, internal testes, or other hallmarks of typical male biology should compete in the men's division. Put another way, I believe that the women's category of athletics should be synonymous with XX chromosomes and "testosterone-deficient". Yes, I recognize that there are rare instances of chromosomal abnormalities that this might not address, but I believe that fairness to the 50% of humanity that is typically female, and does not enjoy the benefit of any aspects of typical male biology, outweighs the athletic ambitions of the rare chromosomal outliers. 2. I don't claim to know all the fine details of WA's policy. However, I think you are asking whether I support the idea of "natal males" competing if they lower their testosterone to typical female levels. I stated my preference above. However, I think it will achieve the same result. As a practical matter, letting people compete in the women's division with lowered testosterone will result in people in this position running too slowly to have a meaningful impact on women's results.
So you think some people who were born female should be excluded from the women's division because they have competitive advantage. What about the reverse? If someone born male did not have competitive advantage over women, should this person be allowed to compete against women? If not, what is the reason?
Is it your position that excluding people with unfair advantage is more important than not excluding people who do not have unfair advantage? If that's the case, that's not a "liberal" position. In the criminal justice setting, do you think it's more important to make sure every guilty person is locked up than making sure we don't lock up any innocent person?

Regret rate for all types of surgery is reported at 14.4%. That's much higher than regret rate for gender affirming surgery.
Self-reported decisional regret was present in about 1 in 7 surgical patients. Factors associated with regret were both patient- and procedure related. While most studies focused on patient regret, little data exist on how ph...

What religion is being shoved down peoples' throats regarding gender dysphoria? I mean besides the one that insists that IF YOU FIND THE IDEA of treating a mental disorder (the belief that you were, somehow, born into the wrong body) with horrific, irreversible surgeries, an onslaught of opposite-sex hormones, and a barrage of same-sex hormone suppressors, so that you can be your true self, to be a terrible mistake, THEN YOU MUST BE A BIGOT. That religion?
Per usual, a number of posters on this thread have been absolutely adamant about insisting two things:
1) male people who claim to have special "gender identities" - and male people who have physical conditions resulting in atypical male sex development - must be allowed in the female category of sport, even if this makes female sport unfair, unsafe, dispiriting and detrimental for female people;
2) anyone who opposes or even questions the view that males who claim special identities - and males who have disorders/differences of male sex development that resulted in them being born with minuscule, malformed or missing penises - must be included in the female category of sport is a terrible person who can be written off as bigoted, brainless, backwards, ill-informed, uneducated, unthinking, mean-spirited, inhumane, far right-wing, old-fashioned, hysterical and petty.
But so far, no one has given any arguments in favor of making female sports inclusive of the males who want in that I find convincing.
So please guys, do all of us who don't get it a favor and set out your reasoning as clearly and simply as possible.
Why should males be allowed into the female category of sport when it's clear that this isn't fair or safe for female participants?
Why are you against fair play and safety in sport for the 51% of the human race who are female?
How exactly does forcing female people to forfeit fairness and safety in sport in order to benefit male people result in the "greater good"?
Why is supporting fair play and safety in sport for female participants bigoted, stupid, ignorant, backwards, right-wing and all the rest?
What is progressive, moral and just about telling the world's women and girls that we must be denied fairness and safety in sports because in your view the feelings and hard-won rights of female people don't matter nearly as much as the feelings and supposed rights of the male people you think are deserving of special treatment and extra advantages?
Good for her. Just run as the gender you identify with and get on with it. I don't care if someone misassigned male at birth wants to run as their true gender.
Gender is just a construct and even sex, while less so, only really needs to be a differential for reproduction, not classification.

Only humans can f.u. something so simple. Why?
Category 1. Humans born as female and identify as female
Category 2. Humans born as male and identify as male

I was just listening to Peter Boghossion on the Gender: A Wider Lens Podcast. His street epistemology project challenges people to support their reasoning on various controversial issues using logic and evidence. He said that the only time he's ever seen his producer get frustrated was when he, the producer, posed a street epistemology question about gender. The producer thought that the reason why Peter's attempts to promote clear thinking on this issue in the past had failed was because Peter did not define terms clearly enough from the start. The producer started the session by making sure everybody agreed on the definitions of things like sex and gender before beginning. Despite his effort, he found that participants switched definitions of sex and gender every time they ran into a moral tripwire.
They have to resort to word play because the dominant moral position (sex isn't real; males can be women) is logically untenable. It's also incompatible with women's rights--unless, of course, you define boys and men as girls and women.
I know that you know these things, but I thought the podcast was interesting, particularly his observation that gender conversations always veer into language games. They also discussed the phenomenon whereby very smart people promote these nonsensical ideas by using their superior intellect to patch over contradictions and absurd propositions.
The people sincerely trapped in this logic will not be able to answer any of your questions. The same is true of narcissists and psychopaths using these issues to manipulate and dominate people. My hope is that those who are engaging in good faith will read responses like yours and think more clearly.

Transsexuals and sex-change operations are receiving a great deal of attention. Young people may seek treatment for transsexual attractions at an early age even though these attractions may go away on their own. Psychological conflicts have been identified in these patients and their parents and may be successfully treated. There are serious risks associated with sex change. They include the risk of depressive illness and suicide. Physicians and mental-health professionals should know these risks and the regrets of those who have been through sex-change operations. These patients and their families also should be informed of other treatment options.
"Hey kids, lets put you on hormone blockers, cross-sex hormones, sterilize you and then remove your sex organs because you feel sad that you might have been born in the wrong body. You probably won't develop debilitating infections and mental illness. It's fine!"

This is BS. All around the world, the physical size, growth and development of babies from birth to 36 months is gauged using two distinct sets of charts - one for boys, the other for girls. Because from the get-go, the normal ranges of head circumference, body length, body weight, and weight gain for babies and toddlers differ depending on sex.
Anyone who's had babies, raised them or been involved in hands-on care of little ones knows that girls are at special risk of UTIs and thus require special attention when diapering, and that there are number of health conditions affecting the genitals and urinary anatomy only of male children. These include cryptorchidism, hydrocele, hypospadias, phimosis and parphimosis and testicular torsion.
Some very serious diseases that appear, and need to be treated, starting ASAP in early childhood such as hemophilia and X-linked severe combined immune deficiency (SCID-X1, aka "bubble boy disease") occur only in males.
A significant number of health conditions that can affect children of both sexes occur at different rates, manifest differently, require somewhat different diagnostic procedures, and respond to treatment differently, depending on the child's sex.
When children have severe abdominal pain, for example, their sex needs to be taken into account because the cause might be related to sex-specific internal organs such as the ovaries or uterus.
Boys are at higher risk of childhood cancers across the board, and this appears unrelated to the fact of boys' higher average birthweights and faster growth rates.
Male sex is associated with an increased risk of a number of childhood cancer types, these associations are not mediated by birthweight, and are independent of other perinatal risk factors
Suspected biological mechanisms may be rooted in differences in sex chromosome gene expression or methylation or may be due to differences in immune function between males and females during infancy and childhood. Characterization of genomic differences on the X chromosome between males and females during prenatal development and childhood will be important for discovering the underlying biologic mechanisms responsible for the observed sex differences in childhood cancer risk.
Male sex is associated with an increased risk of childhood cancer as is high birthweight. Given that sex determination precedes birthweight we conducted a mediation analysis to estimate the direct effect of sex in association...
Some diseases including cancers that occur in both sexes nevertheless occur in males and females at different rates, have different trajectories, respond to treatments diferently, have different survival rates, and lead to or are associated with different risks of developing other kinds of health problems later on in life. All because of sex.
The sex differences in cancers that aren't specific to one sex or the other appear to be independent of current sex hormone levels, too:
males are more likely to develop malignant brain tumors than females at all ages, including in childhood. This suggests that the disparity cannot be explained solely by the effects of circulating sex hormones.
“The fact that we see sex differences in cancers in young children and young adults, as well as post-menopausal adults, means that circulating sex hormones are not responsible for the differences,” said Dr. Rubin.
When circulating sex hormones affect a disease, there are changes in the frequency and severity of the disease that parallel sex hormone levels, he continued. “That is not the case for sex differences in most cancers.”
“We see a big difference in the incidence of glioblastoma between men and women and between boys and girls,” said Dr. Rubin. Males are 60% more likely to develop glioblastoma overall than females.
Initial tumor growth velocities were similar for both women and men, but only women experienced a significant decline in tumor growth after treatment with the chemotherapy drug temozolomide (Temodar), which is commonly used to treat glioblastoma, the researchers found.
“The MRI studies indicated that the standard treatment for glioblastoma is more effective for females than for males,” said Konstantin Salnikow, Ph.D., of NCI’s Division of Cancer Biology (DCB), who was not involved in the study.“
Men and women with glioblastoma appear to respond differently to treatment. A new study identifies biological factors that might contribute to this sex difference.
