I asked about said ex poster and thread got deleted in about 20 seconds! I just laugh. Seriously though, he needed to go, but so does the other half of the equation in this back and forth that has gone on for the past 4 or 5 months.
It would be very interesting to see the IP Address(es) of the vociferously pro-Wiley crowd that posts more than Astro did.
Someone asked if he was banned forever. No he wasn't. He was banned for 3 days just to get the point across that we can't have threads going off topic or being side tracked by a specific agenda. The Wiley threads have gone that way a lot recently.
Yes we understand why people may want to discuss Huntington or even their suspicions but we are asking that not be done in every thread on Addy.
Someone claimed 1:57.64 was worth about 4-4:01, that really doesn't apply to milers who can ran 1:57.64. There are very few sub-4 1500m runners with an 800m that fast actually. Some comparables are Jenny Simpson, 2:00/3:57, Jemma Reekie 1:56.90/3:58, Mary Decker 1:56.9/3:57. Many sub-4 1500m runners haven't run sub 2. Wiley will have plenty of 800m speed to run well under 4. The question will be the endurance and tactics, but so far she's shown very well in both matters, running aggressively but intelligently in most races and contending at the end. I think that 3:57-58 would be in the offing in a Kipyegon special where everyone is pulled to really fast times. She can contend here.

But is this race going to be professionally paced to be fast? I can understand the possibility of the DL regulars desiring a slower tactical race at this stage in the season.

Sarah Healy hasn't run sub-2, either (2:01.75), and she just ran sub-4 in Budapest (3:59.68).
Most sub 4 1500 / sub 4:20 milers I know run under 1:55
Faith Kipyegon, Ciara Mageean, Freweyni Hailu, Laura Muir, Jessica Hull, Nikki Hiltz, Melissa Courtney-Bryant, Elise Cranny, Birke Haylom, Cory Ann McGee, Worknesh Mesele, Linden Hall... know what these 1500m runners have in common? Two things: a sub-4:20 mile THIS YEAR and no sub-1:55s to their credit.
Did any of Kratochvilova, Olizarenko, Jelimo, Semenya, Quirot, Mineyeva and/or Kazankina run a sub-4:20 mile?

Our goal is not to censor someone's opinions or content. It is not a matter if we agree or disagree with what they post. But we can't have threads sidetracked by 1 opinion or off topic posts. That is why he was banned and for 3 days.
Any other posts discussing bans will be removed from this thread. I just posted this here because i know a lot of people are reading this thread. But discussion of bans is off topic. Feel free to email me
