In Europe today, most of those who are influencing and shaping the nature of the continent have no real stake in the future, other than political legacy.
While he didn't phrase it well, I get where he's coming from. 47% of Americans don't pay federal income tax yet still have the right to vote
Show me in the Constitution where it says the right to vote is predicated upon paying a certain amount of income tax (or any). Participation in the electoral system is not dependent on your tax bracket.
If you treat workers/employees with respect, they are motivated to go the extra distance, they will believe. The most important asset of any going concern is its staff. Cultivating esprit de corps is just good business.
Crushing everything willy-nilly with an outsized ego... look at how things went for Musk at Twitter. Dude does not know how to run a shop.

I find it hilarious that the people who complain about this are also the ones who have pushed to cut taxes for the past 40 years... But sure let's raise taxes on those people living on SS and families with 4 kids.
The failure of people to do any kind of long-run thinking and long-run risk/benefit analysis is a very real problem.
Will tying decision power to people who theoretically have a stake in something beyond their lifetimes improve that? Unsure. But it is definitely a problem worth thinking about.
Perversely, people under 35 seem to have extremely bad ability to do long-run thinking. One would think the opposite would be true because they'll theoretically live longer.
All of which to say that these are complex psychological issues and there may well be better ways to screen for decision-making competency than simply having children, though I'm not sure in reality what they might be.
Hard to judge someone like Musk for his estranged children, or women, without walking in his shoes and knowing the relevant trade-offs for him, for the children, and for everyone else.

Taxes go to corporate welfare and actual welfare, both of which are tremendously destructive. So I'm not sure what the point is here... That 47% of people should pay nothing, but reap all kinds of destructive 'benefits' -- most of which seem designed to keep them poor, ignorant, and dependent.
Surely a functioning society is one where everyone is invested and everyone cares when the fruits of their labor goes directly to phony wars and corrupt pharmaceutical companies. Of course you don't care much about the fruits of your labor when you don't work because the same corrupt politicians who are bombing kids into oblivion halfway around the world are responsible for pricing you out of the labor market (and are subsequently paying your keep).
I know that married women favor the GOP by about 14% (and unmarried women favor the Democrat Party by 37%)
I can't find the stats about Americans with kids, but I'd guess that the GOP has a huge advantage there
The problem with those numbers is that they don't control for age. Unmarried women (and men) are on average a lot younger so that might be what accounts for the difference by marital status.
