The toughest people in Russia are the troops of the Interior Ministry. Their loyalty is key to how the situation unfolds.
Wagner does not stand a chance against them.
MoD forces in Rostov handed over their HQ to Wagner without anyone firing a shot. It took over a decade for Russians to be convinced that they needed to go to war with their neighbors. Wagner is seen in military circles in Russia as the most successful fighting force in Ukraine and are widely respected. It will be very difficult for MoD to convince interior defense forces to kill fighters who are otherwise regarded as heroes of the Ukraine war.
Wagner armed column is 240 mi outside of Moscow. My guess is that MoD forces let Wagner take buildings in Moscow and try to negotiate a resolution.

With the eady deployment resources of Rostov being commandeered by Wagner, the weapons intended for Ukraine are now being turned against Moskow itself. Karma is an undefeated force.
My issue: Biden admin. & C.I.A. are taking a huge risk. Eisenhower/Nixon admin. armed Cubans in 1960. C.I.A. training camps in 1960 for Cubans in Florida, Texas and LA willing to fight against Castro. Some of the readers on here may be grandchildren of Cubans armed in 1960. C.I.A. mission planned in 1959 & 1960 and launched in 1961 was a bad idea. Biden & C.I.A. funding Wagner is bad idea today. This feels like a Biden & C.I.A. Hail Mary. Or, it could be a lie.

The statement said that Vladimir Putin briefed Lukashenko in the morning and, with his approval, Lukashenko held negotiating talks with Prigozhin. “Negotiations continued throughout the day. As a result, they came to agreements on the inadmissibility of unleashing a bloody massacre on the territory of Russia,” the statement read. Wagner and Prigozhin have not commented on the negotiations.
