Is the first barrier of the steeplechase always that close to the start line????
Texas has an outside water jump as opposed to an inside water jump. So the start of the race is on the home stretch instead of the back stretch. So they are starting much closer to the first barrier which is always the one right after crossing the common finish line.
Yeah, so what DID happen to her? I didn’t see it, and it was the race I wanted to see most
I wasn't paying super close attention, but she looked fairly labored early on. After they bunched up she was maybe 4th or 5th back, but rapidly declined from there and was in the very back after just another lap or so.
KT never had a shot in the 1500. She tried to break the kickers but she just lacks the speed to compete in the 1500. She tried the only strategy that could work for her. I wonder if she doesn’t run well in the heat. I give credit for trying something different.
No, she ran that fast during indoors. She split 2:12 at 800m during the dmr anchor leg. I don't know what is going on but maybe she needs a break
