That is up with Purrier as the fastest 1600m leg in history. But they were down by a country mile. Hopefully this puts to rest having Tuohy run the DMR at nationals.

No amount of talent can make up for 2 slow leading legs. She looked dejected…and they should let run the 3K so she can show her stuff without having to carry the whole team!

Wow! wasn’t aware that they lost 6 seconds on the 400. That would in itself make you uncompetitive. Tuohy shouldn’t have been put into the position of making up what looked like half of a lap. Like Prefontaine, she left it all on the track…and it showed on her face.

I can think of 3…Tuohy, Chmiel and Bush. We’re talking about 3 68 second quarters. Perhaps even Seymour…Tuohy averaged under 66 second quarters 4 times…
