Some posters think that Roe was a lap behind her in the NCAA 3000 ealier this year. They will get used to it this track season. Tuohy will staay away from the 3000 because there are a handful of faster women. She will put up a good fight in the 5000 though. And Stanford will win the DMR.
and then katelyn wins all three coz you told her she cant
I think y'all are forgetting that if NCAA XC was a 5k, Valby would've had it in the bag. Sure Tuohy might be a little tougher in XC. Of course she handles the hills and cold well. But in warmer conditions and a flat surface like the track, it's hard not to see Valby running away with it. She seems like she has so much room to grow and could very well be running 14:40s come May/June, but it's hard to see Tuohy dropping that much time. Valby is clearly the more talented of the two and is really starting to put things together and looking great while doing it :)
Annnnnnd there it is...the prediction that Valby will beat Tuohy by 30 seconds again 🤣🤣
Facts are very upsetting to Tuohy fans wen they don't support their narrative. There are a handful of women in the NCAA faster than Tuohy in the 3000. Her teammate holds their school record. She will be afraid to go near it because she hates losing more than she likes competing.
Hilarious. Tuohy has 1500m speed. She has the 7th fastest 1500m time in NCAA D1 history at 4:06.84. And she has the 9th fastest 5000m indoor time in NCAA D1 history in 15:15.92. You don't think she can run a fast 3000m, splitting those distances?
Tuohy is currently on another level (health and fitness wise) than she was in the indoor season in the Spring of 2022, when she last ran a 3000. For example, her best 5000 time indoor in the spring of 2022 was 15:30. She just smashed that at Boston a few days ago running a 15:15. Tuohy ran a 3000 of 8:54.17 at Boston a year ago, only 0.05 second slower than Bush ran in Boston a few days ago.
If Tuohy runs a 3000 in this indoor season, she'll almost certainly go below 8:50, and beat what McCabe and Markezich ran a few weeks ago in Boston.
the funniest part is when he said "Her teammate holds their school record." little did he know .......

sam bush's ran 8:54 last week, her time last year in the same race was 8:54
katelyn's time last year at 5000m in the closest race to BU was 15:41 and now she just ran 15:14 on an off day - and her 4:06 1500m speed is converted to 8:43 3000m
but uh katelyn wasnt feeling good during outdoor 5000m finals and still won tho
I like both runners but am more of a Tuohy fan. My VALBYMANIA is a tongue-in-cheek jab at the Valby fanbois that thinks she is god’s gift to collegiate running.
MILLROSE??? omg would love to see than but theres no millrose on their schedule
i think she will run the ELITE MILE or ELITE 3000m at CAMEL INVITE in NC! she was not able to run there last year due to her minor injury but i hope she'll run the mile!! her teammates ran mile and 3000m last year!
I think katelyn will do the dmr, 3000m at ACC then if their team has a chance in the dmr, she'll go for a triple at nationals! (im assuming)
Katelyn said she may run Millrose in this interview after the BC race:

She literally is though. She's so inspiring and teaches people to run from the front with no fear.

That would be really difficult. The DMR final is like 20 minutes after the 5k if they keep the same schedule as last year, and then 3k the next day. I don't see how she does both the dmr and 5k at nationals.
staying in the chase pack for her teammates and letting someone gap you by OVER 12 seconds just so the races of your teammates dont get ruined is something not all can do and WOULD DO
eating up 12 second gap in the last mile and winning the national title and leading your team to a national team title and back to back is another thing, it is handsdown one of the most inspiring stories out there, like you cannot script that sht up, that takes courage, confidence, guts, strength and trust, her teammate trusted her and she trusted herself that she could get it done for her team and for herself
one thing we didnt talk about is how NO ONE went with parker valby, but everyone stayed with katelyn tuohy, that was respect right there, in full display.

katelyn has unfinished business w the 3k-5k double ... if their dmr is just mediocre then i dont think she will be in it ... hope she doesnt sacrifice herself for a 4thplace dmr

Its not on tbe nc state schedule. Tuohy mentioned it in her Citimag interview after BU.
What events do you think she will do at nationals?
the mens 3000m has college runners too! and i dont think this is in NAU schedule coz theres only nico young ... maybe we will see katelyn tuohy too! the armory is her home track !
