The last graduating class of BYU girls didn’t have incredible times coming out of high school but 3 left as NCAA Individual champs and they went 2-1-2 at XC nationals.

A few detractors on this board whine about Taylor because they don’t like her style but she’s produced results.

Ken Martin ran 2:09.38 for second place in the 1989 NYC Marathon, just ahead of 88 Olympic Champion Gelindo Bordin. (Juma Ikangaa won that year.)

Me. Focused on MMA and parties in high school. D1 All American in cross country in college.

There is a LOT of success outside of making 1 of the 50 national meets available.

My great grandfather ran one race in high school--a 6:48 mile. He walked on at D-1 in state program and ran 4:08 by his senior year.

I’ve never heard of this name before she got to college. She did take second at the Florida state meet though.
