The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in Great Britain, continental Europe, and the United States, that occurred during the period from around 1760 to about 1820–1840. This transition inc...
Supporting BLM’s stance for police accountability != supporting “burning down half of America”. There you go with your faulty conflations again.
Chauvin is a murderer, by the way. Talk about burying your empty head in sand…
Chauvin's an idiot but he isn't a murderer. Floyd died of an overdose and Chauvin didn't force him to take the drugs.
You don't get to pick and choose which parts of a movement you support. If you stand behind them you support all of it.
There were no nazis who only supported the way Hitler got the trains to run on time.
The BLM leaders are disgusting people. They are totally racist and they stole MILLIONS of dollars from self-loathing white liberals like yourself.
But hey at least you can pretend you were a good person because you put a hashtag on your Twitter bio.
More AdultInTheRoom nonsense. Majority of Democrats didn’t support “burning down half of America”, which didn’t even happen. Your belief that if you agree with a movement on one thing means that you agree with them on everything explains your simpleton takes.
Dont forget to call me a blue-haired soy boy. It’s your only ammunition when your arguments again fall flat.
I was counting on a poster to state something similar regarding Hannibal. He probably looked like a brother or close cousin or uncle to Moammar Gaddafi. Thing is, M Gaddafi's military was over 50% Black African and same for Hannibal's military.
The Carthaginians were Phoenician. They didn't come from Africa they settled there.
The notion that the Carthaginians were black is absurd.
The Sahara desert prevented any actual black people from making it to North Africa.
The ones that made it to Egypt up the Nile didn't travel west because it was a desert.
Reading comprehension is lacking on this site. I stated over 50% of Hannibal's military were Black Africans. My statement upset you. Hannibal didn't look different from modern day leaders of Libya & Tunisia. Hundreds of years ago the majority of military, Carthage, Black Africans. Today the majority of military, Libya & Tunisia, Black Africans.
Through luck and geography, Europe ended up with a lot of mid size nations constantly at war. Since they were all about the same, and decent, size, no one could get complacent about their security and yet had the resources to do big things. So there was pressure to improve and the ability to leverage those improvements.
Couple examples: UK and Russia. England through its history, as an island, was constantly invaded until they finally built by far the best navy in the world to prevent it. A navy still not able to conquer Europe, but for conquering other lands around the world it was just fine. Russia was in the constantly changing hands part of central Europe until it finally built an army to take on all comers. It still couldn't conquer Europe, but was plenty good enough to conquer to the east all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

Dozens of deaths.
Billions in damages.
So you literally think there were good nazis then?
Nazis who paid their dues and voted correctly and waved their little flags but didn't support the pad stuff they paid and voted for. Got it.
Your arguments ALL fall flat. You're just too dumb to understand it.

You're suffering from some problems more serious than reading comprehension if you think semetic Phoenicians from the L:evant settling empty land all became black just because the land was in Africa.

Our current Democrat vice president was helping raise funds to bail the rioters out of jail... The majority of Democrats voted for her and Joe.
Besides, the "movement" is fueled by racism and hatred to begin with, not to mention that it's built on a false premise which supposes all examples of black people dying at the hands of police are examples of "systemic racism."
Colder climate people can survive more extreme conditions than more temperate climate folks. Too hot? Get in the shade and take it easy until the sun goes down. Too cold? Keep moving or you're dead.
Those who have never experienced cold have no idea.
For a serious answer to the question, read two books.
Guns, Germs, and Steel takes a completely geographic determinist approach, showing how geography did matter. It's a good read.
A Troublesome Inheritance by Nicholas Wade examines the role genetics and culture might play in a very methodical and respectful way. It helps fill in a few holes in Diamond's arguments.
Europeans enjoyed access to technology and trade with Asia and North Africa, and also were exposed to lethal diseases early and often so they were able to build immunity. They enjoyed a nice suite of animals and plants that were more easily domesticable than those in some other places around the world, making the transition to agriculture easier.
They also developed a society that rewarded ingenuity and inquiry (capitalism and the scientific method), as opposed to other places that valued conformity and compliance. Neither religious authority nor political authority held a strangehold, meaning businesses and universities were allowed more leeway in heretical or subversive domains.

If any of the career criminals whose deaths the BLM movement memorialized and glorified moved in next door to any white liberal in America the white liberal would sell their house.

Yeah, good point.
Unless of course you have heard of clothes. And fire.

TL; DR: Geography helped, so did culture.
One could argue that remaining in your bad geography despite it being bad geography is a self created problem.

Tell us you live in a warm climate without telling us you live in a warm climate.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jared Diamond's "Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies" and have recommended it to many others. But I was looking at it again today and reminded of the untruth at its very foundatio...
