God doesn't want you're prayers. He gave us a brain to do something about gun control and we have done nothing about it. Stop bothering him with the same stupid problem.
What do you propose regarding gun control?
Do what they do in Japan. Firearm deaths average less than 10 a year.
The assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has shocked Japan, a country with one of the world's lowest rates of gun crime due to its strict laws on gun ownership.
The average age of death in Japan is 7 years older than in the US. 40% of Americans are obese while only 5% of Japanese are. If you want to save lives, fat shame Americans and reward healthy lifestyles and penalize and tax obesity. I doubt that most really want to save lives though.
Kim Foxx lets violent felons go without bail…Chicago has 800 homicides per year
Straight up lie. First off violent felons are not released without bail. If you are a felon and were convicted of a felony that involved violence and you are charged with a violent felony, you are not released.
Secondly Chicago has only 3 years ever had more than 800 homicides. 2 of those 3 years where in the early 1990's when turf wars were being fought for control of the crack and the other in the 1970's when crime and violence was very high all over America.
Thirdly, what the F does Chicago have to with this
Let me put it this way. We were talking about America before. Americans of Japanese descent commit less violent crime than you'd expect based off their share of the population. Similarly, crime in Japan is also low, and you won't get mugged in an alleyway so someone can get money to buy Jordans.
Which is basically 100% human, just like any other nation.
I’m no social scientist, but wouldn’t the fields of sociology and social psychology suggest that different cultures could have differences that affect violence, including different attitudes and behaviors regarding violence generally and the use of firearms specifically?
Would perhaps a sense of duty as opposed to, say, radical individualism affect such matters?
Could numbers and types of violent acts differ between a society where threats are primarily perceived as external and one in which internal threats are more sharply perceived, both more broadly and within specific subgroups?

A number of months ago, there was a shoot-out between 6 individuals in Chicago. All convicted violent felons, hundreds of shots fired, one person killed, all weapons involved illegal under Chicago law. Kim Foxx declined to file a single charge.
“Americans of Japanese descent commit less violent crime than you'd expect …”
Although I asked some questions that may or may not fall prey to similar problems, I don’t think it’s likely that you could access data to support particularly useful inferences here.
According to the NYT, the shooter grew up in public housing and had anger issues. It seems like a fight that’d be normal in inner cities spilled over onto a college campus.
