Of course this board trends liberal. One of the longest threads here is about how everyone's wives won't have sex with them anymore.
This will be among the most competitive mid-terms of all time given one side's actions against women and the inability of either party to fix or explain how they'd fix the economy.
I never thought I'd see an NFL season like the one we have now, and I wouldn't be surprised by an entirely unexpected election day next week. And that doesn't mean surprise if armed yahoos show up in DC afterwards.
The states with competitive races don't really have restrictive abortion laws with the exception of Georgia, so I don't think it will have the impact you are hoping for. Most of the competitive states have abortion laws that kick in between 20-24 weeks, which is what the majority of the population support. Additionally, over a third of women are opposed to abortion in any circumstance.

Biden is not the main cause of inflation, but IRA program is mistimed. We have full employment GDP and in fact, we have more jobs than people.
Some of Biden's best laid plans have been sabotaged by energy prices. While underinvestment for years on end since 2014 and Russian War is driving most of the increases, the anti fossil fuel rhetoric should be toned down. We have shut in 1 million barrels a day of refining capacity. Why spend heavy cap ex is the government tells you the future is dim? One million is a lot when we use 20 million barrels a day.
We need to be able to afford to build a less intensive CO2 economy, something Biden now realizes with the release of the strategic reserves (although they don't mean much).
I doubt voters realize such distinctions. Real standards of living are down due to inflation-so that is the key variable.

4) Inflation that we have would have been here no matter who was elected, and the inflation we have has ZERO to do with Biden...it's a global situation caused by pent-up demand for goods and services as a result of the pandemic which caused HUGE spending in 2021.
I agree this is a global issue. it's not like the U.S> is the only country in the world suffering from inflation. Gues what folks, we have a global economy. Too many here think POTUS can wave his magic wand and make sh** happen. The U.S. has the biggest bully pulpit in the world, but we can't unilaterally fix all global crises like inflation, war, climate change, pandemics, the rise of authoritarianism, etc.
I'm stunned by how expensive everything is every time I go to the store. A bag of chips now costs more than $5? Mind blown.
Fair or not (and if Trump was reelected I still think inflation would be an issue), the party in power gets blamed when people are having pocketbook issues.
Verdict: Its going to be a bloodbath for the Democrats in two weeks.

Almost unbelievable that DJT- with a Republican VOTER approval of 95% throughout his entire term- would’ve lost. On the same night DJT won 18/19 of the bellweather counties (most by more than he won them by in 2016). On the same night his opponent received less votes than Obama in 70% of the counties in the US.
