Operation Bagration in 1944 broke the back of the Third Reich. It was largely orchestrated by Rokossovsky, an ethnic Pole who started out the war in a gulag for being associated with the wrong clique. Of course the USSR took about 2:1 casualties against a spent German force, but that is maybe their best ratio of the war.
Salient in my mind is Khalkhin Gol in 1938 was a massive win over the Japanese by a young Zhukov, an overlooked affair that affected the entire course of WWII.

Russians need to realize, there is no such person as a (15 to 60) year old Ukrainian civilian male. Russian military cannot keep fighting the same Ukrainian soldiers over and over. Russian military needs to capture every 15 to 60 year old Ukrainian in uniform or not and ship them re-education camp in Russia. This is all so sad. Biden, Pelosi, McConnell and Schumer have caused the deaths of so many. An awful bloody stalemate is what those four have paid for.
