Recently Molly Seidel posted about 69 on instagram. She's a public figure posting on instagram. Fair game for discussion. The discussion started going a bit sideways and was becoming a pain to moderate so a mod deleted it. I restored the thread and locked it.

I just want to clown on my boy SJD and his ridiculous antics while slacking off from work. That thread was a gold mine and 95% of the comments were entirely appropriate.
He's a "public figure" insofar as he chooses to publish a video every single day of his own free will. Surely that opens him up to criticism and even mockery within reason.
Maybe a bunch of people started to complain like JoBros are claiming. Or more likely Seth himself complained, especially since not only was that thread deleted but virtually any other mention of the man on this site was too. But regardless, so what? No one is forcing all of those DGR simps to read that thread everyday like A Clockwork Orange style and get their feelings hurt.
A shame that the founders of this site would acquiesce to the demands of the little eggman and his fervent worshippers.

The gaps in the thread grow as the censors redouble their enthusiasm for culling posts. It appears there are even more post deletions on this thread than posts. Your mods are effectively proving the point made by posters about heavyhanded moderation. They have become petty and obsessive and clearly affected by their own partialities. Their egos have intruded into the task. So the site is no longer the free forum it once was; moderation has effectively become control and in the hands of a few.
