at 44- I ran a 17:12
at 51 -I ran 18:19
I am motivated to try and stay close. I know a few 14 min 5k guys (in their youth) who couldn't break 25 min now.
I guess it shows your genetic potential, how far you have fallen? But mostly I think they are irrelevant. Why tell people a time you ran when you were in your 20's when you are in your 50's? That is just a lifetime ago and it's really sad. You end up sounding like some guy talking about his HS football glory days. You dont wanna be Peaked In HS Guy.
